Moved On

Kyle scowled when he heard Genny's question, "Is that the first thing you should say after not talking to me for over three months?" 

"That wasn't my fault..."

"It wasn't your fault?" Kyle cut in, his tone ringing with disbelief.

"You hung up and didn't call me after that day. What was I to do?"

"And you can't call if I do not call you? Or is it that the only time you call is when you have something to say about Alex?" Kyle cut in, trying not to sound angry. 

"Well, not exactly. I've been busy. You know how my job is. And I've been out for a while. I only just got back," Genny said, and Kyle shook his head, knowing that she was just making excuses. 

Something told him the only reason she had called was concerning Alex's scandal. He had heard all about it from his mother some days earlier, and he had been expecting Genny's call for some time now, knowing that she was going to want to report to him.
