The Moonlight Festival (4)

"I'm uncertain about where to go, but I need to steer clear of crowds," Ingrid pondered, quickening her pace and disregarding the onlookers.

Ingrid flinched and turned around to see Christine walking behind her. She paused, inhaling deeply and clutching her chest. "You've arrived," she whispered.

"I was just close to you a moment ago, Your Highness. I also waved," Christine said with a smile, waving her hand.

Ingrid sighed. "There are too many people wearing green and black masks at this party. And, you all seem to have either brown or black hair," she remarked, scanning the surroundings. Moving closer to Christine, she whispered, "Can we find somewhere else to go?"

"You're not allowed to leave the party, Your Highness. However, we can head up there. That's where the past princesses usually gather," Christine suggested, looking up to the balconies with draped curtains directly above them.
