II - Movie cliche all over again... or not

Help me think of a good Hero name that isn't Campione, that sounds wrong as a hero name. Silver Feather will be a placeholder unless I don't find a really good name. And another chapter since I am in a good mood.

School.

School would never change, even if you now had superpowers. The reason for this being quite simple. You hide your powers so people don't look at you like a freak, bullies try to annoy you because they can, you shove their own middle finger up their ass, you get called to the principal's office and you get out scott free because your father is a teacher at your school. That is at least how I expected things to go, down the cliche line of things. But it all went down a very different road.

Midtown High exists, of course. I found no traces of a certain Peter Parker which, in all honesty, makes sense. The kid wouldn't reach high school until three years later, when Civil War takes place. What I did find very interesting though was a certain platinum blonde-haired girl.

*

When I woke up the next morning after talking to my parents, the first thing I heard was 'Alan, you're going to be late for school.' Of course I freaked out. Using just a bit of my newfound superspeed, I freshened up, washed my teeth and ate my breakfast in record time. By the time dad was about to leave the house towards school, I was already waiting by the car, schoolbag in hand.

"Well that was fast." Dad said, smirking. I had to admit, they had addapted damn fast to my situation. I was gladly surprised by that, since I wouldn't have to worry about them acting in strange ways around me. After a few minutes of driving, we arrived at the school I was apparently attending in this world. And of course it had be Midtown High.

"Well, I'll see you later to go home, son." My father said before heading into the school and straight towards the teacher's lounge. And only a minute later or so, I was dealing with bullshit. A fucking clique of random seventeen year olds harassing a girl with almost white blonde hair. And not just being annoying, but sexually harassing her.

'Life would be so much easier if I couldn't hear all of this happening.' I thought as I walked towards the scene. Exactly a minute after I arrived at the school, I was already 'playing' hero without the suit of armor.

"Who would've thought! Seven scummy tools harassing a single lady." I said, announcing my presence to the group. The girl looked at me with both hope and worry in her eyes. I just hoped the worry was directed at the group of assholes.

"What are you doing looser?!" The one who looked like the ringleader asked, clearly annoyed, followed by the threats of his goons of, I quote, 'beating the shit out of me'.

"Oh I'm doing nothing... just going to make you lot eat dirt and get her out of here." I said nonchalantly, clearly not taking them seriously. And of course, that made some veins pop in the dumbasses' heads.

"Now you've done it, pretty boy, you're going down." The ringleader said while I was surrounded by the goons. I yawned, only to irk them even more. I would get along so well with Peter later on. We're both pranksters who love to make the bad guys lose their shit.

"Oh how valiant you all are, surrounding me seven to one!" I exclaimed in mock fear, while thinking a very different thing. 'They aren't even Flash Thompson's clique, can I be over with this now?'

Without saying anything, one of the goons rushed at me, aiming a punch to my face. Doing my best to control how much strength I put into it, I kicked him on the stomach. The dude just keeled over and fell on his knees, clutching his stomach. I was honestly worried about him, since now I was much stronger. Even if I did my best to hold back, I might have hit too hard.

"Hey, you alright? I didn't hit too hard or anything, right?" I asked. I had already made sure he was okay with my Authority of Life, he just had the wind knocked out of him. And then the rest of the goons rushed me. It was pretty lamentable, to be honest. Seeing seven guys being beaten down by one single 'pretty boy'. Once the ringleader was left all alone, I squatted in front of him, looking into his eyes. I made sure to not hit him as hard as the rest, since I wanted him to be able to talk and react.

"Hey, hey, what is going on? Weren't you going to beat me down?" I said while grabbing him from his hair, doing my best to look like a psycho gangster. He just moved his head from left to right quickly, denying what I just said.

"Good, now do me a favor, ok? You don't mess with her anymore. Or with any girl for that matter. Don't let me catch even a fart of you messing with anyone and we'll be cool, ok?" Seeing him nod frantically, clearly afraid out of his mind, I let go of his hair. The dude instantly fainted. I was quite lucky no one peed themselves, I really didn't want to have to deal with that shit.

"You alright? Sorry for showing you that, kinda had to make sure they didn't mess with anyone again." I told to the girl I had just saved. She looked extremely glad that nothing bad had happened and also very grateful to me for helping her. I was also mildly surprised that she didn't run away as soon as she got the chance. That was actually suprising.

"Y-yeah... thank you so much, really. They didn't get to do anything." She explained, walking towards me. I only now got a real look at her and I have to admit, she was breathtakingly beautiful. No kidding, the only word I could think of to describe her was breathtaking. Keanu would be proud of me.

"No problem, I just did what was right." I said without paying much attention to it. I didn't know just what effect saying something like that without thinking twice about it would have on her, neither did I care about it. I was, honestly, focused on admiring her beauty.

"Umm... what's your name?" She asked, looking a bit bashful. I was more than happy to strike a conversation with her, so without caring about the douchebags we began walking towards the school's entrance.

"The name's Alan Seong, a third year. What about you?" I answered and asked back, trying to sound as confident and as comfortable as I could. As many powers as I had, talking to a beautiful girl was still something I wasn't that used to. I never really got into dating before.

"I'm Felicia, Felicia Hardy. Nice to meet you, Alan, and thank you once again." She answered. And I had to do my damn best to not show my surprise on my face. That was the first thing that I could say had honestly surprised me since arriving to this universe. Felicia Hardy, the Black Cat!

"Please, don't worry about it. How come I've never seen you before?" I said, once again getting back into the groove of the conversation. As surprising as meeting the Black Cat in the MCU –where she shouldn't exist– was, it wasn't THAT surprising.

From our conversation I learned she had just moved to Harlem, pretty close to my house so now we were neighbors, and it was her first day in Midtown High. And now I got the gist of things. Beautiful girls transfers to a new school after moving, on her first day she is ganged by a group of idiots and saved by the 'pretty boy' and now they are on the same class. I could confidently say one, and only one thing.

School never really changes.
