Meeting the Majesties
King George..
"Good evening and welcome to our home I hope your travels were not too hectic?"
"Not at all" my father replied
the king and queen walked gracefully from their throne to meet and greet us
"we know it was on very short notice and for this we apologize sincerely. We have been searching for a long time and this really is very important to us.”….The king apologized sincerely
“it was brought to the attention of the royal court that your daughter might know nothing of our kind so, my queen and I thought it best to bring you here on time so she has enough time to adapt and learn" The king addressed my father
"Yes Beta Norwood we really appreciate you and your family coming to answer our call even on such short notice. We sincerely apologize if we might have forced you into a very uncomfortable corner it really wasn't our intention we just must abide to protocol hence, our hands were tied" the queen said
She came closer to us, towards my parents and held my mother's arms in her own. The sincerity in her words and eyes was very much visible. The way she said it was so filled with remorse that my parents had to reply almost instantly to pacify her
…….Sighing internally ……
and I thought my mum was the dramatic one, it's a mum thing I suppose and those two I’m sure would hit it up really well I can tell.
"Oh no your majesty, yes it did come on very short notice and that too when we least expected it but we understand this is no fault of yours. Fate has a way with things and it seems it has other plans for our baby girl"……my mother said in reply while smiling at me
"We know our duty to the crown so, of course we would honor your royal decree" father replied
"Thank you your majesties for you spared no expense to make our trip very comfortable" My parents replied simultaneously making the king and queen smile.
The king holding his queen to his side replied…."nonsense, it's the least we could do to abate some of our guilt, my queen has been quite bothered"
"And you must be the lovely Catherine" the queen addressed me directly
" good evening your majesty" I said bowing. I wouldn't know how to curtsy properly so, I went with a bow instead, can't go wrong with that I suppose
"oh Sabrina is fine my dear you are very lovely and look much more better in person" she said hugging me she has this motherly aura around her
" thank you your majesty it's an honor" I said blushing, hearing her complimenting me had me kind of self conscious.
"oh dear the honor is all mine" she said
"I understand you all would be very tired so let's move to the dinning hall so we can have dinner and you could retire early. My daughter is running a bit late but I’m sure she would join us before we finish dinner hopefully" the queen said chuckling with my mum
we all moved towards the dining hall another very large room not as big as the throne room but very big nonetheless with a table long and large enough to accommodate at least fifty people the king sat at the head, the queen by his left, my parents, I and Silv to his right.
We all sat down as varieties of food were served by different servants, Linda amongst them. It was a buffet i’m telling you and as the last dish was placed on the table, a very gorgeous looking girl with blonde hair waltz in.
This time I recognized her from the painting as the princess Rebecca and I must say that picture did her no justice at all, she looked just as breathtaking and graceful as her mother only difference is she has her father's grey eyes.
"Good evening, I deeply apologize for my tardiness please forgive me" .......Princess Rebecca
" Rebecca, I told you we would be having guest today" the queen reprimanded the princess
" I’m sorry mother the show took longer than expected" she replied
show? Oh Silv did say she was a fashion mogul speaking of Silv she's almost drooling right now and I can tell it's taking all of her restraint not to hound the princess for autographs. Meeting her fashion icon in person must be a dream come true for her. At least she's enjoying herself
" Hello i’m Rebecca Ray Kingston" she introduced herself to us and the queen introduced my entire family to her she sat next to her mother as we all started dinner.
"So Catherine I hear you are in your second year in college" the queen asked
"Yes, arts major"
"So you are an artist?"
"Yes your majesty"
That's a really beautiful interest, it gives you freedom of expression"
I smiled " yes it does, and it also allows us to see the beautiful things in life and in nature" I replied
" you must really love art"the queen replied and I smiled
" yes she does, she has since being a child, even made some painting to earn and safe" my mother gushed
" oh really I look forward to seeing you paint" the queen replied
" I’m really not that good yet, your majesty am still studying to do better" I said
"Oh please dear don't me modest. She won best art piece of the state at twelve" my mother replied
" Hunny you are only studying art so as to make yourself a professional that's all" my father added
" wow i’m impressed"….the queen said
" yes mother, maybe you could help me with some of my designs if you wish to and when you have the time of course" Rebecca said
" I would try my best not to disappoint your highness" I replied blushing
"Oh hell no, none of that your highness amongst family, it's Rebecca please"
"I will try my best Rebecca" I smiled
"That's more like it" she smiled and went back to eating
The dinner pretty much went like this, our parents making small talks here and there some questions and answers given. Silv got to express her long time appreciation to Rebecca for saving the fashion world and told her she's a die hard fan of hers and absolutely adored her and they ended up hitting it off as friends. We had our deserts and dinner was finally over so, we all said our goodnight and we were once again escorted by the butler to our various rooms.
On the way though, Silv couldn't shut up about the fact the the Kingston Rays are actually royalties and that I am mates with Brian Kingston Ray the hot shot bachelor to be honest, it was still shocking news to me I mean, everything was still so surreal to me.
She went on to say she knew she lucked out when she became my best friend something along the line of
"seeing the gem amongst dirt" her exact words not mine
she said it's not like she's saying am dirty after I glared at her she further explained saying
" I simply meant your reclusive and introverted nature kept a lot of people away while growing up not to speak of how you dress, but i still loved you all the same because I knew you were just a gem hiding your allure both physically and in your heart" she said smiling and i couldn't help but smile back
" just look at you making all my dreams come true" she said laughing. She kept ranting until we got to our separate rooms leading our parents to theirs first before we went to ours.
We bid each other good night before entering our rooms hers was before mine though in the-same hallway. I got in my room changed into my pajamas and went to bed wondering what was in store for me tomorrow.
My last thoughts being please be nice, no more surprises please.
The next day I woke up quite in time feeling very well rested, no dreams and in the softest of beds. I got up did my bed and went into the bathroom to freshen up. I brush my teeth and I was staring at the beautiful shower when I decided to wash my hair and shower properly since I still had a lot of time in my hands. The butler had said last night that Linda would be over at 8:00 this morning and it was just seven now. After my shower I blow dry my hair and dressed up in jeans and a white top and as I was just finishing my hair bun, a knock sounded at the door.
"Come in" I replied and Linda walked in surprised I was up and about already
"Good morning, you are up, I was worried I might disturb your sleep" she said
"Not at all, I have been up for almost 2hours now, good morning" I replied
"Oh, hope your night was good though and nothing disturbed your rest?"she asked
"Not at all Linda. I am feeling very well rested and trust me it's been a while. I guess it had to do with me being very tired m"
"Ok, I can see you have made your bed but that's my duty so you don't have to stress yourself for that next time but thank you all the-same"
" oh Linda i’m quite capable of making the bed I sleep on. Why are you thanking me ? and like I said I woke up feeling well rested and quite on time too that's why i took the liberty"
"I insist my lady, ...Catherine"
" okay okay geez. You are worse than Silv when you want something" I said laughing and she smiled too
"Well you have to go for breakfast at nine which is about 30minutes from now after which you would be meeting the queen at about 10:30 to discuss your schedule and training"
"Training?, you don't mean fighting do you?"
"Weeeeeellll"she dragged walking towards the door
"Linda what are you talking about. Come on i'm dying of suspense here" I said frustrated and kind of nervous.
I can't fight, i'm not athletic and looking at the big people here who could squish me like mashed potatoes in the name of training wasn't helping. That's not the way I imagined I would be dying
"Linda!!" I called going after her as she went out of my room
"Let's go get your friend" she said laughing while I was pouting with the different thoughts going through my head
"Don't worry you wouldn't be doing much of fighting yet"
" so there would be fighting, just not now but later? How am I suppose to not worry about that. Everyone here is werewolf"
" you are one too though you haven't transformed yet and no not everyone is a werewolf. Humans work and stay here too but are well informed and sworn to service and secrecy"
" really, aren't they scared?" i asked really curious
"Nope most of the humans here are mates of weres others, workers and on the contrary they find the werepeople fascinating. you would too in time but, the humans do have areas they don't go to except by authorization places like; the training ground because wolves can loose control and transform anytime"
" well that explains a lot" I thought
" you would only be asked to train with a Were after you must have transformed"
That got me relaxing a bit and Linda noticed because she was smiling and shaking her head at me.
"So what other training would I be undergoing?" I asked as we reached Silvia's door
" well for one, how to carry yourself as a royal, something tells me you are not one for attention and you would be getting that a lot" i grimaced and she just laugh and it was at that moment Silv opened her door saying
"You couldn't be more right, My friend here prefers to be a wallflower in every social gathering. I mean the way she dresses is a dead giveaway of how much she tries to stir attention away from herself" Linda was nodding agreeing to what she said while laughing
I glared at Silv " well you can't blame me, I don't like attention and how did you even know we were here and that she was talking about me and you Linda you said I dressed fine the other day you traitor"
"Well, when someone speaks about an anti social person in this castle, I knew it could only be you annnd also, I heard your voice"
"And you did look good but I know you could look better" Linda retorts
"Thank you for that I think we would get along fine, I am Silvia by the the way Cathy's life saver but you can call me Silv" she said stretching for a handshake
" And i'm miss Catherine's personal maid and guide Linda" she said shaking her hand
We went into Silv's room another very beautiful and large room not as big as mine but large nonetheless so she could finish up and we could be on our way to breakfast with the royal family and mine.
Silvia had a field day telling Linda everything she thought was embarrassing about me and my interest or lack thereof on my physical appearance and attitude.
Life just got more entertaining didn't it???? Note my pain please
