Chapter XX

Min-jun, I have to find him.  What I feel about Myung-Dae isn't anything near to what I feel about Min-jun, yet. I think it's because I have spent almost all of my life with him.

It seems that I have planned everything out in these two days. This while looking down thing has given me a benefit. A benefit of thinking straight without any distractions.

The only problem is that I still don't know the roots of this castle to escape it because one I will escape this castle without anyone knowing then it will be very easy to get my plan to work. 

Sounds of keys hitting each other were heard and I know that Byeol is here to give me dinner. She opened the door with a sympathetic look displaced on his face. She entered the room and placed the food in front of me.

"Please eat something if you need your energy," Byeol pleaded. Yes, she is right if I need to leave this place I need energy. I nodded and immediately her face broke into a wide grin. Because this is the first time in two days that I am reluctant about eating. I took the plate from where she placed and started taking small bites knowing that I cannot rush or I will end up throwing up.

Halfway through my food, I gathered that since she is the one who is opening the door of my room for the past two days she must have the keys. A ray of hope took over my heart and I quickly examined her to see any key in her hand or somewhere and yes there it was in her left hand. She was clutching it tightly but I know if I want to get out of this room I need that key and that is what I am going to do, get that key.

I have to get that key in order to get out of this place. But first I have to distract her a little while knowing where Myung-Dae is actually. So I can have an idea. 

Byeol, do you know where Myung-Dae is?" I asked. "He has gone to another city for some work and he is expected to be here by tomorrow" She replied while giving a smile. So I can get out of this place without Myung-Dae knowing.

I know it will not be easy to escape when there are so many guards but still I have a good chance knowing that Myung-Dae is not here. I purposely gave a light push to my plate after emptying its contents. Byeol got startled at the sound of plate breaking. 

"Oh, my dear! Are you alright? Did the piece cut you somewhere?" 

Byeol questioned while concern was laced on her face. How I don't want to receive such a good lady but Myung-Dae has left me with no choice. She put the keys on the vanity table and said to me "I will just get in a minute to clean it, please don't get up from your bed or they might be stuck in your feet" 

She advised and I nodded while I felt terrible lying to her because I am going to get up and go really far from here. Where my life would turn back just like how it used to. She rushed out of the room probably to get the equipment to clean all the mess. I got up from the bed carefully avoiding all the glasses and made my way to the vanity table and took the keys.

I know she will know that the keys are missing so I cannot take the whole bunch. I took one key from the bunch and got to the door. In a hurry, Byeol forgot to lock the door, and didn't even close it. I closed the door, inserted the key in the hole and the doorknob twisted, indicating that the key works and a grin broke onto my face.

Knowing that I had no more time to waste, I made my way back to the bed sitting in my previous place while hiding the single key under the pillow, which was placed on the bed. Soon Byeol came with a young maid and she cleaned the mess and in no time they left the room. But not before Byeol took the keys and locked the door.
