Lost of Innocence

The streets were filled with crowds as it was festival of lights in Thailand. Everyone was lost in ecstasy as celebrations had begun quite early than usual.

Like everyone else,Dev was celebrating with his friends in full swing when a man bruised pass him. Upon the impact,both of them fell down on the ground.

"Hey watch your step,man?",Dev was obviously not happy with the collision.

"Sorry my friend. I'm in a bit of hurry,so couldn't see you", apologized the man. Dev shook his hand with him,"It's alright brother", Dev said as both parted ways. The night was still young and the celebrations were going on,and all of a sudden,the celebration turned into chaos and confusion.

Dev and his friends couldn't understand anything,as a huge blast engulfed the whole area,making Dev and his friends succumb to darkness. When they opened their eyes, their was a scene of absolute gruesomeness. Mutilated bodies were lying here and there. Crying of children and women could be heard from a distance. There were various parts of humans lying on the ground and blood was splattered all over the place.

Afterwards,police and ambulance came down blazing and the whole area was covered with security forces. Dev was searching for his friends when he found his friends body lying on the ground, unmoving.

"Wake up you moron. Wake up I say. How will I face uncle and aunt,wake up please my friend",he frantically shook him but to no avail.

"Sorry kid,but your friend is dead",said a police officer in near unemotional tone.

"It can't be",said Dev as he fell into darkness.
