In a certain apartment in Montreal, Calista's mother sat watching a show on the tv. That was supposed to make her calm down but it did not help at all. A while week had passed by since her daughter's wedding but she had not called and she did not know how to reach her. She had seen the news and everything that was said about her daughter and she was hurt that a that was happening because of her. If only she had informed Maverick that her older daughter ran way from home then her younger baby would not have to suffer all this. They would have come up with a way to solve all that but it was too late now.

A tear escaped her eyes lid. She was worried sick about both her daughters. On the other hand,she did not know where Izara was and on the other hand,she did not know Maverick's reaction after discovering that he was tricked into marrying another girl.

She was tempted to thinking that maybe, Maverick had not found about it yet but that was impossible,he must have known.

That increased her fear and worries,why did he not call or do anything if he knew the truth already.Izara and Serenity were two different copies and no one could fail to tell them apart unless they did not know them.

More tears fell off her eyes.

"You will cry more than that Ishaani. What did you think my granddaughter is undergoing in the hands of that monster!?. Did you not think of the implication of your action?"her father, Mr Kapoor scolded. Her hand learnt about what happened that same morning and he had just overheard the conversation between his wife and youngest daughter,Preeta.

He was mad. Maybe these women did not know they were playing around with but he did. He was fully aware of who Maverick could be.

"I was afraid father. Trust me I would undo what I did if I could.."Ishaani wept uncontrollably. She was already aware that she had messed up but what would she do?

"I need to talk to my sweet girl...call her right this moment.I need to make sure that she is fine,"Mr Kapoor spoke.

Ishaani broke down further. She let her daughter leave there house without any means of communication.

"She...she... she,"she stammered.

"She what Ishaani?...she what?"Mr Kapoor growled angrily. Lucky to him he had not hypertension or else he would have collapsed.

"She does not have a phone.She broke when she knew of the planned wedding for her. she was angry,"she spoke between her sobs.

Mr Kapoor could not believe what he just heard.

"Calm down dear..let's find out what we can do,"his wife spoke trying to calm him down.

"You better not open that mouth of yours and calm me dear.You took part in this without giving it a second thought and told me nothing about it?This selfish daughter of yours sold out my sweet baby girl just to protect that insolent daughter of hers!"he growled more angrily.

"I will personally go there and meet Maverick and talk to him and I will find Skylar and both of you will be punished for that,"he warned. Mr Kapoor was a rich man.He was the CEO of Kapoor & Sons limited where they imported and exported all kind of goods.The company was known both in Indian and New York and many parts of the world.

Ar that,he left the beautiful apartment as his guards trailed behind him.

Ishaani wept bitterly. She was her father's favorite kid even though she had given birth out of wedlock,her father loved her and she always remained her dearest but now,she felt like she had betrayed him. He had always been the best father.Very supportive and protective towards her from her harsh brother but she had been the worst mother to her kids.

Back at Maverick's mansion, Maverick was glued at the same spot. Be could not understand why he was really pissed that Addison slapped Calista. He had witnessed more mistreatment towards his workers and even employees at the office but somehow he was mad that she slapped her.

Addison behaved like nothing happened.She turned and wrapped her hands on her neck possessively. She then dropped a kiss on his lips and spike seductively.

"Why don't we grab a quickie lunch then warm up your bed?"she asked in a seductive tone,her voice sweet as ever. Maverick found himself comparing her voice to that of Calista and he was surprised himself when he thought Calista's voice was much better.

Maverick took her hands off his face and dragged her upstairs.His grip on her hand was tight but he did not seem to care.

"Ouch!...you are hurting me Mave,"Addison complained.She had never received this treatment from h and so she did not know why he was dragging her that way.

They soon got to his room. with Addison complaining as she was forced to follow behind her.Maverick pushed her and she fell on the bed.

Wide eyed, Addison looked at Maverick with confusion and anger written all over her face.

"What's wrong with you Addy?"he asked angrily,his voice raised.

Addison got more confused. She did not know what he was talking about.

"What's wrong with Mave?...you drag me like some worthless worked of yours,slam me on the bed and got the guts to ask me what's wrong with me?"she asked standing from the bed.She stopped a foot away from him and glared at him furiously.

"Yes... what's wrong with you? Why did you slap Calista? What did she do or say that made you treat her as you did?"he asked in a growl.

A deep frown rested on Addison's forehead.So this was about Calista!

Unbelievable!

Maverick had never shouted at him for anything let alone now,just because of a random woman.

But she was forgetting something, Calista was not just a random woman.She was his wife. and as much as he had googled about her,she was a beauty with talent and brains. She was far much beautiful than her and Maverick was not sorry to admit that.

"So all this drama is because of that good for nothing Calista?..she seduced Aldo and he fell for it, don't tell me you fell for her trap as well,"she spoke harshly.Her voice was raised as well.

Just to show how spoilt she was.

Addison's words angered Maverick even more.Why did she keep saying that she seduced Aldo...that was not true and she did not want anyone talking about it.

"First she did not seduce him and second she is not a good for nothing because she is sacrificing her happiness for ours and you should respect that because you cannot even do it for anyone,"Maverick corrected her angrily.

This was getting heated.

"So you are calling me selfish...?"Addison asked. She was getting more and more angry and her voice was getting more pitched as well.

"That's what you are Addy and it's beginning to piss me off. Why were you even so rude to her and what was that slap for?"he continued asking.

"Mave I have slapped many of your workers but never made a fuss about it so why now?.. because of her?"she asked in disbelief.

"Yes Addy.Because of her and she is not one of my workers..."he corrected again but did not continue his statement.

"Then who is she to you.She is a no body so why are defending her this much?"

" She is a somebody Addy....she is my wife and you better respect that..."he answered while pointing at her face.

"Your wife..?"she asked.Disbelief and displeasure in her voice.

"Yes she is my wife and the earlier you respect that the better for all of us..."he insisted.

Addison was not hurt by his words but he was mad at him for calling her his wife. She had abandon her important businesses and came over to spend the day with him and here he was scolding her just because of that useless girl!

That really bruised her ego.

"Fuck off..."she finally responded after a while of silence and stormed out of the room.

She slammed the door on his face and walked out.Maverick sat on the bed running his fingers in his hair. She could not even apologize and what did she say to him?

Fuck off?...

He hated that about her. She was too spoilt and always thought highly of herself.

Maverick's attention was now turned to Calista.He wondered how she was. They had kissed twice and he had initiated the kisses and he loved them but he should have told her about having a girlfriend since she did not read the rules and anything written in the contract.

He hoped she was just fine.
