1 "JUST WHY ME??"

"WHY!!!! WHY!!!!! WHy!!!!! Just why!!!!" A boy had a knife to his chest, tilting his head down with his eyes closed. The eyes that could not even bear to look at himself cried tears that showed an in-depth amount of sadness and pain. "Why did I have to be like this? Why can't I change or find someone to talk to?" He spoke those words bitterly. "Why does everyone hate me when I haven't even done anything to them?"As he said each word, memories surfaced that he could not bear to remember.

"Look who it is; it's the loser who lost his parents!" The sound of the boy who had bullied him through his middle school years had rung in his head.

"LOSER!!" The kids who had stood behind him shouted and backed up his rude comment. "Just why, Nathan? What have I ever done to you and your friends?!" The little kid with marks all over his face laid on the floor in tears. As the tears fell, it tingles across his face with every sensation of the teardrop.

*taaa* The bully hit Haden straight into his nose, and as if timed, the blood started coming out. *whimper, waaa* "Oh my word, have you seen what happened?" As Haden cried out, everyone had seen what happened, but no one dared to get involved.

The teachers came and had only asked that he apologize to Haden, but Haden wanted more than an apology. He wants revenge!

He stayed low for as long as possible to pass school without any issues, as he could not let his little brother down.

"Son…." In all the agony, he remembered something else had come in. "Son, look at me…" his father's voice had come into his head. "*Cough, cough* Your mother and I don't have much time to live, but remember this for me, okay?"

He could remember his father's hands on his face. The hands that one felt warm had suddenly lost their heat and started feeling cold. "Yes, dad, *sobs while tears fall*" he could not hold himself on the day his father's last words were spoken.

"Your mother and I love you; life is gonna be hard without us. Many people try to harm you and your brother for various reasons, but stay strong. Push past your limits right then and there, protect your brother and live a life that you can be proud of." A tear had fallen from the side of the father's eyes, "*he smiled all the while, even at death's door he had a smile so bright.*."

"Life has its mysterious ups and downs, but never hate life or take your own. Having morality is a gift; it makes people appreciate each other more, so don't be sad." *beep beep beep beeeeeeeeeeeeep....* The life support had shown that the father of Haden had died looking at his son with a smile.

…..

*Buzzz Buzzz*

"Brother! Brother! Wake up! It's the last week of middle school! You are going to be in high school after the summer break." A boy who had radiated happiness and good feelings had shown up to wake his older brother.

*yawns* "Huh? What's the time, Seth?" The voice that had spoken back was subtle and tired. He looked up at his younger brother, and the light shone on him as if it was attracted to him. His little brother was around 4'3, had a bright smile, and looked somewhat like Naruto. His hair color was brown with natural golden highlights that almost matched his yellow eyes.

"Yes, you told me to remind you when it's the last week of school!" Seth had looked at his brother. He saw how his eyes had looked with bags under them. "*Haden, you were crying again last?*" Seth thought to himself. Haden had hair darker than the color black, his eyes were purple, but sometimes they looked red. He had a scar just above his cheekbone but under his right eye.

"Oh yeah! I remember!" His facial expression changed to shock, but it had a hint of happiness. "*My last week?! I can finally start over in high school! Maybe I can have the ideal high school experience?!" He had a smile more extensive than usual.

"*My big brother seems happy for some reason; I wonder why? Maybe it's a girl?*"

*Hup!* He had swung his body and gotten up from his bed. "Okay, I am going to get ready for school. Seth, you also got to get ready for school. We both got to go, remember?" He spoke with a smirk and patted his little brother.

He went to the bathroom and closed the door. Both hands on the sink. He dropped his head for a while, then lifted it to look at the mirror.

"I have come a long way, but I am still going to miss my middle school days;* chuckles* I wonder why? Well, it doesn't matter; what matters is me!"
