Chapter 19

Jin's POV

After the longest quietest ride in my life, we arrived at the home I rented in the heart of little Koreatown. It is a beautiful recreation of a traditional Korean hanok. Beautifully done up in the most elegant traditional reproductions of timeless pieces. Pieces that are normally only seen in the museums of South Korea.

"This is so beautiful Jin. How did you find it?" Her eyes are full of awe as she looks around. This place is honestly not far from her father's house. I guess her world here was very small. I will take to see the real thing when we get back to Korea.

"I know people," I said with a smile. I direct her to the master suite so we can place our stuff down. Even though it is done traditionally this house is extremely high-tech. There are cameras everywhere, secret compartments, and even hidden doors to private rooms. Even though I think think the extra cars and actors were too much. I am taking her safety seriously. I will not spare any expense to give her comfort and keep her safe. It is all worth it.

"Let's go eat then we will get on with our business here." I take her hand and I'm surprised that she lets me. We head back out to our car to get something to eat.

The next day

Sierra, I, and about 8 guards pull up to an iron gate that guards a huge house. It is a bit ostentatious for my taste but not terrible. Taking a quick look over at my bride, I can see she is pissed. I thought she would be more scared or sad. Nope, she is pissed. The guard that greeted us at the gate looked terrified as he spoke to her.

His shaking voice betrayed his firm stance and aggressive tone. "What are you doing here Sierra?" Sampson growls at him and he takes a step back. "Get your fucking dog." Sampson was scared he just took a step closer to him. With my arm around her waist, I tell him, "We are here to see her father. I have an appointment."

He again looks down at Sampson before looking down at his clipboard. "You pretentious ass hat. Just open the damn gate and stop acting brand new." Now she has her arms crossed over her chest and is glaring at him. She looks as intimidating as a wet kitten.

I guess he took offense to what she said because he takes a step toward her. "You know you got big balls coming back here after what you did." I take a step up between the two of them. "If you would like to maintain your balls, you will treat my wife with some respect." Security was right there by my side ready for war. I made sure everyone I brought with me knew it was a possibility.

Sierra steps up to my side and smiles. "They have always been bigger than yours. Is my father here or not?" Another man walks up next to the guard placing his hand on his shoulder. As he walks up Sampson barked. I have never heard him bark. I have never heard him bark. I make a mental note as we follow him into the house to keep an eye on him.

We had barely made it into the foyer when Sierra started to scream. " FAAATTHHHERRR!!!!!" I could not help the shocked look on my face as I watched her scream his name. I mean who the hell does that? I knew she was mad at him but I did not expect her to scream through the house. She looks back at me and shrugs with her hands on her hips.

I watch as an older man walks down the stairs. If it wasn't for their eyes I wouldn't know they were related. They have the same light brown eyes. Honestly, he doesn't look old enough to be her dad. She must have more of her mother's features. He is at least six feet tall, deep chocolate brown complexion, very athletically built. She is barely over five feet tall, soft brown sugar complexion, soft and curvy.

"Welcome home Sierra. Are you going to introduce me to your friend?"

He reaches the last step and stops to look between me and Sierra. Just when I thought I would need to introduce myself Sierra takes a deep breath. "I am sure you know exactly who this is. But I'll humor you. This is my husband Kim Seokjin. Jin this is my father Mr. Mitchell."

She looks annoyed but her father smiles. "You're right my dear I know exactly who he is. I just like the formalities of an introduction. Besides it is much better than making assumptions, right?" He steps to me and holds his hand out for me to shake.

"Hello Mr. Kim, welcome to the family." He has a tightness around his eyes and mouth that doesn't escape my notice. Still, I shake his hand. "Please call me Jin. We are family after all." His grip was firm and not too tight. I can tell that he is not happy with our marriage.

I told Sierra that I needed to acknowledge her father and attempt to keep peace with him, and I mean that. I raise my hand and a member of security walks over to me with a carry-on bag.

"I was made aware that you planned for your daughter to marry someone else. I don't want there to be any bad blood between us. I have brought you a gift. A peace offering if you will." I move my hand again he takes the bag to her father.

He open the bag and his eyes became huge. I am sure he is impressed with the quantity of what I have brought him. "Sierra told me that you are in the drug business and have a very good reputation for only dealing with the best." He will be equally as impressed with the quality. "Drugs aren't my thing but I know a guy. This came from a government seizure from some Columbians in our country. I am told the quality is the best."

As he handed the bag over to his man for testing he said, "You are a truly welcome addition to the family." Turns to Sierra and asks, "Are you happy Sisi? Are you treated well?" She looks at me and smiles before she nods at him. "Yes, I am." Then she looks at me with her brightest smile and asks, "Can we go home now?"

"Even when I fall and hurt myself, I endlessly run towards my dream." Jin
