15 What It Means To Be A Hero Part 2

"Just because one has no powers does not mean that they are not a hero. A normal person with no quirk can also be a hero. A person who can take a homeless child in and raise them as their own would be seen as a bigger hero in the eyes of that child than any hero out there on the street fighting villains. A hero is not based on power but on acts. One act from someone who did not need to act, even if it is only one person that was saved, can be seen as a hero." Kali's words reverberated across the P.E. field. She, more than anyone, knew what it meant to be a true hero.

In a blind spot not far away, a certain skinny man stood in the shadows with tears in his eyes as he looked at the young girl giving her speech. He never knew that the little girl saw him in such a fashion. While she would show that she cared about him here and there, this was the first time hearing her true feelings like this. He was truly touched by her words.

Aizawa looked at Kali with a defeated expression. After such a speech, how was he going to retort anything? What she said was one hundred percent true. He sighed as he said: "I admit my faults. Maybe my teaching style is not as correct as I thought it was. I will try a more guiding role from now on. Now then... Kali, you have yet to do your final test. And, Midoriya, go to Recovery Girl and get your finger healed. "

Kali nodded and took a softball. She turned and looked at Aizawa and asked: "Are you sure you want me to throw it as hard as I can using my quirk?"

"Yes, as hard as you can, just throw it so we can finish the tests. You slacked off during the other tests so let's see what you are really made of." Aizawa really wondered just how strong this little girl was. He was hoping to get a rough estimation from this test.

"Okay then~" Kali smiled and drew her arm back in a casual manner before throwing the ball just as causally. One would think with how she was moving that the ball would only go a few feet bet but what happened next blew everyone away.

*BOOM!!!!!*

A loud explosion was heard as a sonic boom sounded out right at the point of Kali releasing the ball, causing quite a few people to stumble back while holding their ears. As for the ball? Well, Aizawa never got a chance to get a proper reading because he fell on his butt as well. He slowly climbed up and cleared his throat. "Ahem…. Infinity…."

Seconds later, the whole class was in an uproar besides Asui, who looked at Kali with a warm smile.

"Alright enough! The rest of you get changed and head home. You will need it for tomorrow's ordeal." Aizawa did not wait for a reaction before turning around and leaving. As he did, a huge figure suddenly appeared in front of him. "All Might…."

"I must apologize on Kali's behalf. She should not have been speaking that way to you. She is kind of a free spirit." All Might bowed his head.

"Don't bow to me. She was right. In every word she spoke, she was absolutely right. It made me wonder just how many kids would have been able to make it if I actually took the time to explain things and guided them properly. Even her idea of a hero hit a spot in my heart. She is a good kid. While a bit out there at times, she is still a good kid. Although I think she has a thing for that Midoriya kid." Aizawa explained with a sigh.

All Might's lips twitched. First, he would never let any man near his daughter. Second, the only reason she protected Midoirya was because of him. Everything she seems to do is for him. All Might let out a sigh and wondered if he should get a present for Kali on his way home.

On the other side of things in the dressing room, Kali was busy recharging her squishy. "Squishy squishy… So soft."

Asui helplessly smiled and hugged the arms that were hugging her. "Kali, you made a bold statement today. I did not think you liked Midoriya."

"Huh!?" Lots of question marks formed over Kali's head as she looked at Asui in confusion.

"Y-Yeah…. Kali, that was really ...." Uraraka wanted to join the conversation, but a pink skinned girl with antennas suddenly jumped in and hugged both Kali and Asui.

"Kali, you were so cool!" The pink girl hugged the two girls with a big smile.

"Hmm? My squishy radar is tingling." Kali's eyes glowed when she saw two squishy's in front of her eyes. Her fingers began to wiggle in a strange way, but as she was just about to turn around to squish the two squishies, she felt a sharp pain on her head. "Ouch! Tsu!"

"I already know what you were planning." Asui shook her head and looked at the pink girl who had already instinctively backed away. "At least you know when to retreat. Don't mind her though. She means no harm. My name is Asui Tsuyu. Call me Asui for the time being."

"It's fine. It was just that my antennas twitched, warning me that something bad was about to happen. I'm Ashido Mina. Call me Mina!" Mina introduced herself with a smile. But soon, her smile grew stiff when she felt something pressed up against her cheek.

"Hmmm…. Your squishy is an eight out of ten. Not bad." Kali controlled her hands and only used her cheek to test the squishy. If she had taken the time to actually look around, she would have noticed that there was one girl who was peeking her way while blushing as she looked down at her overdeveloped chest. What she was thinking, no one would know.

"Umm…" Mina was a bit confused by Kali's words.

Asui, who knew Kali had no intention of explaining herself, could only sigh as she said. "Ignore her. I am sure you have seen her hanging on me during class. That is just her thing."

"Oh." Mina nodded and allowed Kali to continue like it was nothing. But that was when it hit her that she came here to actually ask something. "'Right! Kali, are you dating Midoriya?"

"Dating Tuna? Why would I do something so stupid? I have no interest in dating any Tunas. If I were to date someone, they would need to be squishy." Both Asui and Uraraka's cheeks turned red. Even Mina's had a slight hint of red on them. "At any rate, since we are all friends now, let's go get something to eat and celebrate our first day."
