Saving All Might

Emergency room…..

The little girl walked up to the reception desk with All Might on her back, a trail of blood following behind her. With a smile on her face, she looked at the shocked expressions of the nurses and was about to ask them to help the man on her back when one of the nurses yelled out: "Quickly! Get him to surgery!"

Before she knew what was going on, a bunch of people came over and took All Might off her back, placed him on a gurney, and brought him through a set of double doors. One of the nurses knelt down next to her and held out a piece of candy. "Was that your daddy?"

Hearing the word daddy coming from the nurse's mouth made a bell sound off in the little girl's head. She put on the most pitiful expression she could make and nodded her head: "Yes, he is my daddy. He was beaten up by a bad man."

The nurse's heart clenched as she motioned with her hand once more. "Here, take this. I am sure your father will be just fine. For now, come with me. I will bring you to a room where you can relax. What's your name?"

"Me? I'm Kali." Kali said with a big smile.

The nurse's heart squeezed once more. 'This little girl is so strong! Her father was beaten so badly, and yet she is still forcing herself to smile.'

*Rumble*

Kali blushed slightly. Her stomach had not gotten any food in it yet today. She really wished she could hit that stupid man a few more times. She rubbed her stomach and sighed depressingly, causing the nurse to chuckle. "Come, I will take you to the cafeteria. You can order whatever you want. It will be on me."

Kali's eyes lit up as she shouted in her mind: 'Score! I knew this was a good idea. I do a good deed and get some good food.'

While Kali was happily following the nurse to the cafeteria for some food, a certain armless and legless man was lying in a crater that was formed from his body hitting the ground. He was in bad shape, but that did not stop him from yelling out: "What the hell was that little monster!?"

Kali ordered three burgers and a bag of chips with a drink. She was one to never be shy when offered something. Her motto was to take full advantage whenever you can. She never shied away when people asked if she wanted candy or other kinds of treats. While normally, this ended with someone's head exploding and their items being robbed, she did not mind. The kidnapping rate in the city dropped by a large amount, and the reason being was because of this seemingly harmless little girl.

She was not always a street rat. She had only become one when she was five. Her parents decided they did not wish to take care of her and dropped her off in a back alley and ran away. Even at that point in her life, she was numb to the world around her. She did not care what was happening since nothing could harm her anyway.

She spent all her time roaming the streets, taking what she needed and finding food in dumpsters. She had dealt with many people and lived like this for the past four years. In a way, she was sick of it all. That was why she came up with this idea. Since she saved this hero guy, he would need to repay her. So she decided to stick to him like glue, whether he liked it or not.

She wasn't worried about him hating her or anything. As long as he gave her a roof over her head and some food, she would be happy. Yeah, she wished for more in life, but with no family or anyone to rely on, she knew it would be hard. So she gave up on that. Once she was old enough, she would finally get some dead end job and then work from there. She could even try this whole hero business.

While her scheme may seem a bit underhanded, she did not care. Her future was at stake. She would not allow her only chance to slip by. So the moment she saw the injured man, she decided right then and there that she would begin her new plan. The only thing she actually regretted was that she did not get to finish that trash burger….

"You sure have a big appetite." The nurse was quite surprised at how much the little girl in front of her was eating. Now the nurse was unable to tell that the little girl in front of her was actually a street rat because the clothes on Kali's back were actually stolen from some boy she stripped who was beating up some kid that she stepped in and rescued. When she realized the rescued kid was poor, she got mad and took the bully's clothes and left.

"I'm growing…." Kali spat out these two words before going back to munching on her burger. She did not like talking when eating. The nurse seemed to guess this because she did not speak again and sipped the drink she had bought.

Many hours later, Kali was sitting next to a hospital bed, reading a book. The person in the bed was hooked up to many machines keeping him alive. For someone who had his stomach ripped out and a few other things, he was truly lucky to even be alive at this moment and time.

A knock came at the door, and a man with slick backed hair and glasses slid the door open. He had a bouquet of flowers in his hands and just as he was about to step into the room his eyes landed on the little girl sitting at All Might's side. "Who? Who are you!?"

"Who else could I be but the man in the bed's daughter? Are you an idiot?"
