1 The Chosen Magician

"of course I'll just make a clone of my soul there so that I can exist there and also here at the same time."

8 years ago I was born in a city called Xerdale in a country known as Treolor.

I am a chosen child. Much known as a child of gods, chosen children are the kids who inherited the powers of the gods, they are very strong at the beginning having an S-rank embedded already on their body.

The ranks are not determined by anyone not by people who will give you it or anything. Ranks are determined by the gods themselves when you hit a certain threshold in the powers gods will promote you to the next rank if you're worthy of it. Ranks are marked on the palm of that someone.

There's no telling when a chosen will arrive as the gods never interacted directly with the mortals. The only thing that means a new chosen will arrive is when the previous one died or killed and a child will be deemed as chosen if the child is born with S on his/her palm.

but not everyone has it on the palm as there are also monsters and other races in the whole universe.

From strongest to weakest rank.

and also an unclassified rank as only gods have achieved it so far SS. Theoretically mortals can achieve this but there is no one recorded to have it even the demon lord himself but no one knows the truth if the demon lord really doesn't have it.

"son~ can you please hunt some food along with your father?"

"sure mom! let's go dad!"

"let's go let's have a lot of food tonight!"

Going into the forest we saw various animals. But we want some chickens and some wild boars. But suddenly.

And my dad got blown away.

And a bear-like monster appeared. With S on its belly.

"aakk!"

"Dad!, are you alright?!"

"yeah somehow. But an S-ranked to appear. But an S-Ranked monster to appear here. Just what is happening right now?"

A spell that restricts something from moving for a certain time for a minimum of 3 seconds. The effect varies from the power of the caster. Which then binds the bear monster.

And the monster then got penetrated vertically

by a lance-shaped ice.

When the monster gets unbound he then sways his big right arm to me.

[Barrier]!

"pretty strong aren't we?"

"let's have a showdown then."

Then the monster attacks the ground with an intention to crush me.

[Bind][Greater Bind]!

[Hell's flame][Cyclone]!

"Let's see what will happen to you after this."

The bear then got into a cyclone of black flame which engulfs the bear for 10 seconds as stacking of effects of binding spells.

ROOooAAaaRrrr!!

The angry monster then rushes me and swings his arms to me when I dodged it the other hand then snatches me from behind.

"You're smart, huh?"

The monster then opens its mouth.

"tsk!"

[Teleportation]!

he then appears two meters at mid-air at the nape of the monster.

"gotcha!"

[Space Cutter]

he said with a cold voice while smiling evilly.

It's a spell that needs to be dodged and not effective to fast opponents at the cut through space itself and negates any kinds of defenses.

The head of the monster then got blown into the bushes.

"done!"

"let's go dad!"

[Fast heal]

"Y, yeah son, I guess, let's go then."

After some time we then saw a pack of chickens on their feeding ground.

[Ice prison]

And also a boar cooling himself up into mud.

Since we are a world of magicians we of course use magic items, but it's not limited to just us.

I then open the magic item on my hand.

It's magical storage used for transporting things it's a common thing in townsfolk to have this.

"There, all done dad!"

"Yeah, let's go."

"You know what son?. I just can't believe you killed an S-ranked monster just now. please forgive me because I'm weak, I'm the one who's supposed to protect you earlier as I am your father."

"Don't worry about that dad. Not mocking you but I guess you can't handle that of course"

"you're my father and I love you, you know?"

"I love you as my father and you're not weak. It's just that monster is too strong."

"Still being an A-ranked magician makes you strong right?"

"Yeah, I guess so. But why did such a strong monster like that appear here?"

"Our city just is home to B-ranked monster

with rare occasions of encountering an A-ranked one. Still why does such a strong monster appear?"

"Let's just go dad, don't stress yourself on it it's already dead, come on mom is waiting."

"Yeah, I'm sorry, son."

"Son, I'm gonna go to the slaughterhouse"

"Go back to your mom."

"Alright, dad~"

My son is really a sweet child, I'm so blessed.

Being a human is nice huh?

In heaven, the angels are just following my orders, but here it's different. This world is good, I love it.

"Mom I'm home~~"

"wahh, son."

My mom then hugged me.

"How is the hunt?"

"You know what mom? I killed an S-ranked monster."

"Woah. The wait isn't is dangerous?"

"Who are you talking to mom, you know."

"I'm home"

"Wah, dear!"

"Ok we're gonna have a feast tonight."

"Yeah!"

I shouted together with my mom.

Then we have a feast and long peaceful sleep.

As I expected having this kind of life is good than being a bored creator.
