These towers were the dungeon towers which may seem from outside but there is whole another world inside them. In these towers of different ranks, many monsters were there who are waiting for dungeon break to come out and destroy everything.
Many mysterious and powerful resources were there in these dungeon that can help humans achieve a big leap in evolution, but monsters were protecting them.
As such, at the demand of the Global federal Government, teenagers who are of age have to go to the towers to awaken their talents which is hope of humanity to survive in this destructive apocalypse.
