The New Friend

He turns to me smiling, warmly. I smile back, interrupted by the assistant. "James Stark and Alíce Smith, you are going to the same classes." she concluded, giving Stark the papers. We stand up in usion, walking out the door. "James Stark? Really?" I tease, poking his arm. "Hey, your names French!" he argued, poking me back. I was quiet for a minute. My name was French. It meant 'Darkness'. It has been centuries since I heard that. It reminded me of Deagon. I miss him, much dreadfully. I never actually gave mercy to anyone.I unintentionally grabbed his hand. "Hey, I'm sorry" he said tenderly, kissing my hand. That tingled, but showed respect. I ignored him, stopping at our classroom. We looked at each other, asking which one of us will open the door. He cautiously opened the door, revealing children and no teacher. They were jumping around. I turned to Stark, pulling him to the side. "I am not doing this." I said as I gestured to the classroom. "Just for a little bit?" he asked, uncomfortable. I laughed for a couple of minutes."Ha, Hell no." I replied, putting my stern face on. "Well...I..." he stammered, uncomfortable. I pulled him to the lockers, propelling backward. He ran his hands through his hair, hesitant. He followed me and I bit my lip, turning around. We walked out the school doors, stopping at the car. "At my school, there were alot of-" he stopped himself quickly. I leaned on my car, crossing my arms defensively. "Mystical Creatures?" I said as I cocked an eyebrow. He stared at me, like I was the center of his world. I glanced over his shoulder, catching movement. "Get in the car, Stark." I instructed, walking in front of him. "Wait...Why?" he asked, confused. "Get in the fucking car, Stark!" I warned, ready for danger. I heard him get in the car. "I can tell you grew up." I heard a soft scottish voice say. I turned around and sighed, closing my eyes. "You're not gonna say 'Hi' to your best friend?" he challenged. I smiled and ran to him and jumped. He caught me, spinning me around. He placed me on the ground, kissing my forehead. Stark got out of the car, looking at us weirdly. "Is this your... boyfriend?" he asked, confused. "It's no' like that." Zachary jumped in, reassuringly. He lookes back at Stark, wide-eyed. "Mate? Why are you here?." he said slowly, looking at Stark. He ran his hands through his hair, unsure. "I...don't remember." he replied as he sighed. I looked at both of them, thinking. "What the Fu-!"
