Priceless

One day, a girl named Priceless with the tag "Scorpio" On her neck was chosen to be a fortune teller, something she hated.

Priceless hated them because she only saw... Well, oppression.

She saw them as furthering the oppression of so-called "Scorpios."

She literally knew of cases where they called people, like her cousin, Jimmy, a Scorpio when he wasn't. Jimmy was tagged as a Virgo.

Priceless saw them as frauds.

Frauds who were hired by the government to keep her kind down.

The woman named Lyra told her "Don't you think that your... New job will help you?"

Lyra thought of a lie she could use to get her in the job, then says "Your destiny?"

Priceless crossed her legs and put her boots on the table.

Priceless said in malice "No." she put her feet on the desk to disrespect Lyra.

Lyra asks her to "Take your boots off of my table." Angered that Priceless would disrespect her this way.

Priceless yells "All you guys ever do is oppress us!" In tears, not removing her boots in protest of her ways.

Lyra says "No, we don't oppress you. We give you reasonable predictions for your future." Trying to make it seem less bad that they would tell others that Scorpios are sociopaths and monsters with no moral code.

Priceless yells "REASONABLE! YOU LIE!" Because she knew what they told others about her kind.

Lyra says "No, we don't." In defense.

Priceless asks "Then why am I still in shackles?" Referring to how the government oppresses them.

Lyra lies saying "We do this to help you." Trying to make her become a fortune teller.

Priceless yells "You liar, you don't! Don't lie!" In fury.

Lyra lies and says: "You have to." Sternly to get her to listen.

Priceless is hands cards to tell her about each sign, in private, in her bedroom in front of her fireplace, she first throws the one that says "Scorpios are manipulative and sadistic" in the fire, and thought "The audacity she has, to give me this after what we were talking about!" In rage.

Then Priceless threw the rest in the fire.
