Why Learn?

Jake and Grud managed to reach the school at time, albeit with them getting nearly scolded by Mrs. Hunton, aka Mrs. Snobbish. They were only saved because another teacher, a Highland Dwarf (very known for their warmth and kindness), managed to warn Mrs. Hunton that they will be actually late if they are not released. Only then were they able to run to their classroom in time.

Chatter can be heard across the room, as students of many species are hanging and talking with each other. You can see mermaids talking with kappa, each discussing what their favourite food is. Orcs arm wrestled barbarians across the classroom, each hurling insults across each other to make themselves es look manliness and hitter to women.

But the highlight of the day were the fae's. Each one, more beautiful than the other, sitting across the table, chattering in their beautiful, musical voices. Each were shining, light being reflected from them, as if they were the greatest gems possible.

However, on the other side of the classroom, darkness resided there. No light seemd to escape, as if a black hole was there. Upon closer inspection, it is revealed that several moving figures were present there. Denizens of the underworld region, both humanoid and non, were conversing together in a low murmur, each syllable being as if unknown is being casted upon the class. Fights often broke out against them, mostly by the fae's.

Trriinnnngggg...

The bell rang, and everyone started to quiet down and go back to their seats, albeit still chattering softly. A bang was heard, and the door to the classroom swi g right open, at mach speed. High pitched clicks were heard, as stilletos entered the room.

This is the worst, Jake thought, as he buried his head in his arms. Why on earth does the the old bat have to be the first teacher in the morning? He looked to his left, and Grud was also seen softly banging his head on the table.

An angular face can be seen, with bony claws for fingers and wooden rods for arms. Long, slender teeth can be seen protruding from her mouth, with blood red lipstick smeared on her lips. Hair, tied up in a bun, seemd brabant dreary with life sucked out of it. Both sighed, and immediately opened their history books, as it was revealed that Mrs. Hunton was their first teacher of the day.

"... and the high Archon Felduren of the house of Mander fought against the zerg swarm, annihilating the swarm after battling for seven years. Now, Mr. Benson, could you explain to me why the war began?"

With drool coming form his mouth, Jake jerked his head up." Whuh, huh, wuz ghoin un?" Wiping drool with his hand, he looked up, only to see a furious monster glaring at him, eyes red with fury.

"What the-" Jake began, before tripping over his chair and falling down into the floor. The class burst into laughter, with Grud being the loudest. " Mr. Jake, if true desire your sleep oh so much, don't worry. You can spend a comfortable afternoon here, all to yourself. Meet me here at 3 at the afternoon. No skipping." With a final warning, Mrs. Hunton turned back to the board, warning "and if I see anyone else doing the smell, you can have a sleepover with Mr. Jake here. Any questions?" Everyone kept quiet, looking at their books, trying their best to not be the next victim of her tyrannical mouth.

"Pffft. Good luck my man, I'll keep your seat at the holographic simulator warm for you, no probs." Grud snickered quietly, for fear of the old bat hearing him. He later consoles Jake by handing him the latest Mind-O-Matic to him, a small ship easily hidden. "Just hide it in your hair. It will do the rest by itself." Jake marvels, mouth agape, "How did you even get it? The latest model is not even released yet commercially. Do you have any connections inside? Wait, let me guess, you uncle's sister's nephew works there, right?" Jake fires questions rapidly, before being glared by Mrs. Hunton again

He smiles sorrily, and sheepishly hides his head underneath the book, following the history class without any more shenanigans happening.
