The darkness engulfs me like an old friend. I am safe here. Protected from the outside world and all of its dangers. I can breathe easy, relax and let go. The monsters that lurk in shadowed corners cannot get to me here. They do not know where I am hiding. I am not alone, though; I can feel something watching me, waiting for me to lower my guard, so "Terrifying terror." In a world beset by the unknown, one man stands in the face of fear. Michael is a horror enthusiast whose knowledge of terror has been challenged like never. Called upon to investigate an alarming set of local disappearances, he must quickly unravel the sinister mysteries unfolding around him before it's too late. As he gets closer to uncovering the truth behind the vanishings, Michael finds himself locked in a nerve-wracking struggle with an unspeakable evil. What unbelievable secrets lurk in the shadows? Will he be able to survive long enough to discover the answer? With only his courage and wit to guide him, Michael must battle his greatest fears if he wants to live to tell the tale. It can pounce. But I will not give it the satisfaction. It would like to see me scared, trailing off into madness as it did with so many others before me, but I will not break so easily. So, instead we wait; both of us silent and still in the enveloping blackness, each one hoping to outlast the other until finally exhaustion claims us both, and we drift off into unconsciousness...
