Chapter 11

Weeks later Theo and the paladins found themselves at the Knights of Arthur headquarters.

Theo and Bo couldn't just help but show that they stood out like a sore thumb. The dazzling lights and shining decor stunned them. The place had this certain buxom allure that made them marvel. The headquarters was a giant Cathedral that was stationed on a large island.

Though the church was a front, it was still a functioning church.

Walking through the twists, turns and many hallways, amused Theo, but Bo and the gang were starting to be put off by the whole thing.

They had finally reached a large door. The paladin with long straight black hair, cleared his throat before speaking.

"We're about to enter the presence of the elders, don't fuck up" a hard stare stabbed right at them before opening the large oak door right in front of them.

The room was large and really bright. Sitting on large wooden chairs on a raised platform were three really old geezers. An old lady on the right, a slightly younger man on the left, and an even older male in the middle.

The paladins and the 'Intruxh' walked to the center of the room and knelt before them. Although the 'Intruxh' we're not ready for that, they saved themselves just in time.

The elder in the middle spoke up first. "You have been summoned here to give an account for your plan against Lord Gareth Bludinand, the king of the vampires. May your plan make fruit, and be blessed by the divine celestials."

Arthur stepped forward, cleared his throat and spoke "The plan is simple my lords. We plan to isolate the king of the vampires, Gareth Bludinand. We have found out that he gets a regular dose of harpies blood from two dealers in pier twenty five marina". He nodded at a woman robed in white who stood beside the elders.

Her eyes flashed white, and an image of two identical looking men who both were bald and had a snake tattoo running up the side of their faces. The image showed them walking down the street in black trench coats.

"These are the guys that sell him the blood. We don't know why he purchases such an item, it may be a blood preference_ "Or he's kindova pervert" Interjected Bo "Shit, I said that out loud, I'm very sorry my lords". Arthur glared daggers at him before continuing to speak. " Like I said, we don't know what the blood does for him or why he gets it but he usually goes alone, and the blood seems to weaken him a bit. During that time we overwhelm him with our numbers and strength"

"And what do you hope to accomplish by doing this?" The female elder softly inquired. Arthur was quiet for a few seconds that lasted almost an eternity before saying, "The truth is that I plan to eradicate the threat which is known as the vampires from this city, our city. I believe that once we remove the head which is their king, we can almost easily destroy the species. As we all know, the king is one of the most powerful people on the planet, thus we have to eliminate him first. The vampires are almost at extinction and this is the best time to destroy their tiny populace in this city at least".

"Basically, kill the head". Jakob added.

Another lady who also stood by the elders' side created a bubble around the elders. No sound could be heard from inside the bubble, and the elders seemed to be conversing inside the bubble.

Almost five minutes later the bubble seemed to dissolve, and the elder in the middle cleared his throat before speaking "You're confident about your plan, and you're confident it would work so I hope the celestials bears your plan fruit. One thing though, when do you plan to carry out this plan of yours?".

In a dim room with fancy decor, Gareth Bludinand king of the vampires was at it again with his virtual warfare when he suddenly sneezed. He looked back at the screen and to his horror he had died, Game over.

He stood up from where he was seated and stretched a bit. He stepped outside his chambers, walked down a comically long hallway.

He walked around until he reached a set of stairs that led to an indoor garden, sunlight descended from a glass ceiling. In the centre of the garden was a fountain, and on that fountain sat a beautiful girl who the rays of sunlight danced beautifully on her skin. It shone across her dark curly hair.

She noticed Gareth's presence almost immediately. She looked up at him and gave a beautiful smile. "Do you plan on standing there like a creep, or do you want to come to me my king.

He gave a nervous smile before walking towards her and lay down beside her, resting his head on her supple thighs. She kissed him before she started stroking his hair. "What bothers you my king". She asked in a beautifully angelic voice. His obsidian eyes met her olive green eyes before speaking up. "I have three days before I have to go through that torture again. I only wish it didn't have to be like this."

She stroked his hair again before speaking again, "It'll pass, and like always I'll be here for you."

He reached out to stroke her face, before pulling her down for a kiss.

"We will attack in three days". Arthur replied to the elder's question. In three days we would attack, we plan to bring him dead or alive if possible".

The third elder finally spoke up, "You do know he's one of the strongest entities alive right?"

Everybody's face turned grave, they were going to do this, probably risking their lives in the process, but they were determined to bring an end to the king of the vampires by all means necessary.

Heading back to their base, the started putting their weapons and supplies in order. They were prepping for the fight of their lives obviously.

Theo wandered through the halls and met the British beauty. "Is this luck? no, it's fate. I should play it cool"

He calmly strutted to her side. She seemed to be on her phone, so she didn't really hear him coming.

"If I were the vampire king, you'd be dead Jasmine" A splendid attempt at an opener Theo, ten points.

She looked up, saw it was Theo, then looked back down "I doubt the vampire king wants anything to do with me Theo. And besides, what would he be doing in a place like this" He voice shook Theo's very core, he was smitten by her charm.

"Theo-duck, you got a second?" Ah yes, the one and only Bo is here. Bo's voice and demeanor said that he wasn't playing around.

Theo nodded, and followed Bo to a room that looked to be a study. By the desk was Bo's father Ernesto. "Ernesto?" Theo said before going in for a tight hug.

"What're you doing here Ernesto?"

"I'm here to give you a present" Ernesto replied. He gestured towards the desk, and on it was a lengthy object that was wrapped in clothing.

"What is this?" Theo asked.

"Unwrap it and find out Theo duck" Bo said, resting on the door jamb sporting his mischievous smile.

Theo unwrapped what looked like a sword. Holy shit, it was a sword. It was a dangerous looking long sword with beautiful blue runic designs on the silver blade. The black hilt was shaped like a dragon, and the handle had what looked like a dragon around it.

Ernesto cleared his throat before speaking, "I was going to give Bo after he became an official knight, but he made it clear he's not a fan of swords. And I happen to hear the paladins destroyed your blade while you were comatose"

Theo ran his hand across the blade, feeling the enchanted steel blade. "It belonged to Sir Criston Santo, one of the many paladins in our family, and it has been passed on ever since" Ernesto placed his hand on Theo's shoulder "Now, I pass it on to you"

Tears ran down his cheeks, Ernesto and Bo are the only family Theo has ever known. In a few days, he's going to be in a battle for his life, would he ever get to see this trio together again.
