Lucy

Upon returning to the past before the apocalypse, Lucy had undergone all kinds of experiments testing the uses of the virus, the crystal nucleus and other areas of research related to the powers granted to each person.

Since she was in possession of a special variant type power, her value was higher and it made her a greater research subject.

The final experiment was to see if a person's powers and nucleus could be transferred into another host body without having any side effects.

The nucleus grew within each person's body just like the zombies once they had reached the first stage.

It was discovered that the nucleus would act as a collection of energy which had crystallised and would help the bodies abilities to improve.

Most had awakened a power before the crystal had formed so as the crystal evolved, so did the body, the powers and the ability to resist the virus.

So long as a grade one evolved human did not get bitten by a large amount of regular or grade one zombies then they would be able to avoid being turned into a zombie.

There were cruel people who harvested the crystals from humans and absorbed them to increase their power just like they did to zombies but they would only help to increase their growth.

By absorbing them they gained no change in their abilities or could inherit the powers of another so the scientists were desperately searching cor ways to achieve it.

A water and ice variant was rare and useful so it needed to be harvested and put to use for their benefit so Lucy had died a cruel death.

It was unknown if they had been successful after Lucy had been killed to achieve their goal but Lucy woke up in her younger body once again.

Her desire for revenge was strong but with the approaching apocalypse coming so soon, she had no time to act yet so she made her plans.

Water and ice were very useful and could be used in a variety of ways whether it was to top up waters supplies, water plants or soil, freeze food to keep them from spoiling and a wide range of attacking and defensive tactics to use with water and ice.

Her first task upon returning to the past was to gain some supplies which would last her a couple of days and could be carried with her.

Lucy took out the jewellery and other things that she had kept since their death then packed them away into a bag.

She jumped over the outer wall and left to sell her valuables in a pawn shop which helped her gain enough spending money while emptying out her bank account buying a baseball bat, a knife and a wide variety of different tools and supplies which would aide her survival.

It took some convincing to allow the purchase of the knife but she felt grateful towards the man who eventually gave in to her.

Lucy returned home after sneaking back in then enjoyed her final night of peace without having to worry about the dangers ahead.

When Lucy opened her blue eyes and tidied up her auburn hair which was a little lighter than her cousin, she picked up on the noise coming from outside.

Her slightly more petite and pale body and skin looked completely the opposite of her cousin who had been created with a villainess template image?

Although Lucy was not a stunning beauty like her cousin, her weak and petite appearance would cater towards the opposite gender and let them wish to protect her much more than her more than her cousin who was difficult to approach.

She armed herself after getting ready then left her home to escape from the Reed residence while the outbreak had begun to spread within. "While leaving now could prove to be a little dangerous, it is the best opportunity I have to disappear."

The baseball bat was made of metal so it caused even more damage to the zombies heads as she ran through them and had attacked before climbing over the walls.

Brick had used his own methods to adjust to his environment and gain experience using everything he could to his advantage which meant that even the heads had been collected and stored away for his own use but Lucy had charged head on against the zombies without fear and left them behind as she made her escape.

Upon escaping, Lucy made her way towards the place that she had purchased to store some of her things while avoiding her fellow humans who were running around the streets chaotically as the zombies chased behind.

Upon hiding in a safe location above ground, she overlooked the chaos with cold eyes as her plans were slowly being put together.

Lucy began by collecting and applying the same method for the crystal nucleus while checking over the state of the streets and further into the city where it was more populated.

If the people in the city were not at home then they had already been exposed to the zombies and were caught up in the chaos outside so they had a difficult time surviving.

Those that had the plan to escape the city and move to another location were met with road blocks and a long line of cars being stopped in place which meant many were stuck in place as the zombies detected the gathered humans.

Anyone with any sense had stayed within their car and had remained silent or they had chosen to run away on foot leaving behind their car but many others only became easier targets for the zombies.

It took some people more time until they could fight back and kill the zombies so that they could survive which resulted in many deaths and the increased population of zombies.

There were some people which were more prone to violence like gang members so there were some places which fought back.

The problem came after when supplies were lower and the laws of the world no longer applied to the apocalypse so looting, abusing and killing each other was no longer enforced by the police.

Many who had been suppressed by society and the law started believing that the apocalypse was where they could shine while some individuals believed themselves to be a hero after reading too many novels because they had awakened a power.

It was a very rare occurrence but some people awakened very weak powers early so they believed themselves to be special which lead to them acting like a hero or simply using their abilities to satisfy their own desires.

Unfortunately the abilities were still weak and still were untested so many fell prey to their fellow humans or the zombies once they attempted to use their powers in real combat.

Some smarter people spent a longer time honing their abilities with constant practice before they chose to try them out in real combat but the main character, the villainess and the bodyguard had not yet awakened.

Lucy was carefully observing while making her plans to visit some stores and to check if the man who sold her the knife had still been alive, Tanya left her room after making her preparations and had shot down some zombies with her bow and arrows so that she could locate her friends while Brick was busy securing the outer walls of the Reed residence.
