That name, like a needle, pierced into his indifferent eyes. Everything around them receded, and he only saw Ji Yunhe.

"Where did you hear that name from?"

"In my dream."

"Dream?"

Ji Yunhe felt her throat tighten and Changyi fell to the ground. In a blink of an eye, she was thrown against a stone wall and pinned in place. The Grand Master's force was so great the wall behind Ji Yunhe cracked several times. A mouthful of blood came up from her chest, but was held in by the Grand Master at her throat. An attack without magic was already enough to subdue her. She stood no chance against him.

"Master..." he whispered, as if to penetrate the decades of lonely years.

The blood in her chest finally flowed out of her mouth, Ji Yunhe coughed a bit then said, "Qing Ji came to kill you because Ning Xiyu showed me what you did, in my dream."

If the Grand Master was crazy like Shunde, then these words would be as harmless as a gust of wind. But Ji Yunhe was certain that his madness came from his desire for that one person. All of his knots were tied to her.

Ning Xiyu.

"You set up a trap for Ning Ruochu. You told him he could enter the Ten Square Formation and accompany Qing Ji, but it killed him. Qing Ji learned about this and went to the Demon Valley to confirm it, and as expected, she came. You probably didn't understand why she suddenly came after you… It was because of Ning Xiyu... "Ji Yunhe smiled at him and said softly, "She wanted to kill you."

As if the sky had fallen and the mountains had collapsed, the Grand Master staggered back a step.

"You wanted to bury the world with her, you wanted to mourn her with everything and everyone, but the only one she wanted to take with her... was you..."

The Grand Master froze completely. Behind him, Changyi slowly sat up. Blue eyes swept across the surrounding area and fell on Ji Yunhe and the Grand Master.

Frost stirred at his fingertips and condensed into the shape of a sword then disappeared. After three attempts, the long sword in his hand finally took form. He used the sword as support and slowly struggled to his feet, then walked toward the Grand Master.

Ji Yunhe watched Changyi approach them. The backlash from his excessive magic consumption had almost killed him, but he still came to help her. He was willing to fight for her with his life, of course she had to protect him with hers.

Before Changyi could make a move, nine tails behind Ji Yunhe unfolded in a flash and her demonic aura immediately covered the sky. She isolated Changyi outside the aura and lunged for the Grand Master's chest.

The Grand Master stared blankly at her with no signs of resistance.
