Where was this place?

She turned her head and looked to her side. The silver-haired jiaoren rested quietly with eyes closed beside her bed, his head propped up by a hand.

She tried to sit up, and that little bit of movement woke him. As soon as his gaze landed on her, the haze of first awakening disappeared. He stared deeply, and intently into her eyes, as if he wanted to dig out her soul, or forever lock her into his pupils. Aji, however, scratched her head in confusion. She felt a little uncomfortable being stared at like this, and shifted her gaze.

"Ah... well… What happened with the lava? Is it under control?" She did not see the glow inside his ice blue eyes dim down after she dodged him. Changyi blinked and also looked away.

Aji then noticed two more people in the room, a man and a woman. The man she had not seen before, but the woman was the one who helped Kongming capture her back in the south.

They were lying on the ground looking a bit withered and lifeless, as if they just went through something devastating. Neither of them even noticed Aji had woken up.

"Uh..." With everything and everyone looking so strange, Aji felt super awkward.

"Where are we? How did I get here? And… why are you guys here too?"

"This is the Frozen Sea," Changyi lowered his eyes and answered in a deep voice.

"You were injured by the searing heat, and needed the deep sea lingzhi to dispel the fire." Aji blinked for a moment and looked at him.

"Thank you, Your Highness..."

Changyi tightened his lips and did not give another response. Their exchange of words, however, woke up the two who were still immersed in their own world. They saw Aji and instantly came back to life. Luo Jinsang was the first to jump over and hug her.
