The Plan

I felt a sharp pain in my side. I screamed in pain, my eyes shot open only to reveal that monster.

"Get up, now!" she barked.

I sleepily shook my head, and said, "I can't."

I glanced down at my wrists, hopefully, but they were still bound.

She muttered, "Lazy girl." as she got up in my face, and spat.

"Yuck," I said, "don't spit on me. Do you know how unsanitary that is?" I desperately tried to rub my face off with my shoulder, she glared at me. The look on her face said that she didn't care. The only two words that I will use to describe her are, monster and psycho.

"I said get up, now, " she glared at me, then glanced at my arms. Her eyes followed my arms down to my wrists. She made the fakest shocked look I've ever seen, "Oh! That's why you can't."

She reached into her pocket, pulled out her knife, bent down, and cut the ropes.

I shakily got up, and looked at my wrists. I whimpered as her hands made contact with my sore and rubbed raw wrists. She glanced up at my face, and a smile slowly formed on her face. She roughly grabbed my wrists, and dragged me out of the room. For a few moments it was dark, cold, and smelled an awful lot like rotting.

Lights flooded my vision again. Before I could look around she shoved me on to a chair and tied me to it. She sat down in the only other chair in this room.

She kept her eyes glued to my face, then she said, "What would you do for me if one of the people you love was in danger?"

I looked at her confused, fear and surprise stunning me silent for a few seconds.

My voice seemed to come out so small, "What do you mean?"

She shook her head, and muttered, "You are such a dumb girl."

She glanced at me, before standing up and leaving the room. She came back into the room with what looked like a remote.

She glanced at me once more, then looked at the remote, and asked, "Do you know what this remote does?"

I shook my head, desperately biting my tongue, holding back any sparky attitude. She gazed at a very blank wall, my eyes focused on the remote. She commanded me to look at the wall. I did as I was told. After she pressed a button on the remote, a panel opened up to reveal one of my friends.

"MALCOM!"

I shook in every direction, demanding to be released. I tried to get out of the chair, but it was useless. He was tied up, blindfolded, and gagged. There was an occasional bruise that peaked out from his clothes, but besides his slumped over head he seemed to be fine.

I looked at her, tears forming in my eyes, and said, "Let him go please," a smirk formed on her face.

"Not until you answer my question."

I answered, "As long as no one I love is hurt, I... I would... I would even kill," my voice broke on the last part.

I wanted nothing more than to shrink and run away, it being very clear as I give up on speech. Why would she take Malcom? I glanced back at the wall, and tears welled up in my eyes. She got up, and walked over to the door that led to the room Malcom was tied up in. When she opened the door, I struggled to get out of the chair. I could see her walking up to Malcom.

I screamed, "Don't touch him!" she looked at me and smirked.

"Don't you want to see his face?" she asked, then grabbed his hair.

She pulled his head up, and removed the blindfold. I could see all of the cuts, bruises, and blood on his face.

I gagged and screamed, "You monster!"

The tears that had welled up in my eyes finally fell. At this point I was sobbing. I can't see him like this. He slowly opened his eyes, he let out a muffled noise, she ungagged him.

"What was that?" she asked him.

He responded with, "Don't touch me!" she glanced at me, then back at him.

She pulled out her knife, and I screamed, "NO," Malcom looked around scared, "Don't hurt him."

She twirled her knife in between her fingers, and pushed the blade against his chest, and dragged it across his chest. He screamed in pain, and his tears started to fall.

"Please stop," he begged as she put her knife away, and started to punch him.

"STOP!" I screamed at her, she stopped, surprisingly enough, and walked out of the room. When she sat back down across from me she looked around for the remote.

"Where is that remote?" she asked, still looking around. I looked at Malcom. She said, "Crap, where is it?"

She got up and walked out of the room. I heard her yelling at someone. I looked toward the door. She walked in with a different remote.

She looked at me, and said, "Found it."

I gave her a look before responding, "Liar," she looked at me like I just said that her dog died.

She shook her head, and pressed a button, I looked back at the wall. Malcom got shocked. I kicked at her hand to make her stop. She called for someone, a boy that didn't look much older than me walked in. He kept trying to tie my legs to the chair, but I kept kicking him in the face.

"Ow, would you stop that?!" he said, before I kicked him in the groin. He stood up and said, "I'm done with her."

She looked at him, and slapped him. He just walked out.

She yelled, "Get back here now! Jackson! You listen to your mother!"

He walked back in and said, "I have to go to school mom." with that he walked out of the room. She was mad now.

She looked at me and said, "Stay there," she walked out, and yelled for someone else.

A girl that looked like she was younger than me. She looked at me and said, "Sorry about this."

I just weakly smiled at her.

She said, "Auntie shouldn't you feed her?" How could a monster like this woman have a niece like this?!

"Yes dear. Would you go get your sister?" the little girl nodded, and walked out.

A girl that was at least four years older than me walked in with a tray of what I would assume was food. I am not eating that shiz. The girl walked over to me, and placed the tray down in front of me. As she was trying to feed me I kicked the tray over.

I said, "I'm not eating that shiz."

She got in my face and said, "You eat it or you die of starvation."

I shook my head. She walked away. I'm done here, I could just take advantage of the rare times I'm left alone, and escape. I asked if anyone had any actual food. I heard muttering, then felt a sharp object poke me in the side. I jerked my head to my right side.

"Who's there?" I asked when I heard more muttering behind me.

A boy that looked like he was four. He looked at me, and I felt like kicking him. He looks so much like the monster.

"Hi I'm Zack! What's your name?" he said.

I smiled at him, and said, "I'm Gabby."

He waved, and walked out of the room, "Wow rude," I said once he closed the door. I tried to get out of the chair again, to get to Malcom.

"LET ME GO!" I screamed.

The young girl walked back in, and said, "Rebecca told me to tell you to shut up," she closed the door.

So the monster's name is Rebecca. I heard a window shatter, and I looked around frantically for the broken window. It must not be in this room. The door to the room I was in opened slowly. I looked toward it, and saw Mayhem.

"Mayhem what are you doing here?" I asked, and he told me to be quiet. I nodded, and he cut the ropes that were binding me.

I whispered, "We should save Malcom."

Mayhem nodded, and asked, "Where is he?" I pointed toward the window.

He looked over that way, and grimaced. "What did she do to him?" he asked and I shrugged.

He walked over to the door to that room, opened it, and went in. As I stood, standing not doing much, he called for me. I ran over to him, and helped him get Malcom out of the chair, then the room, and we tried getting him to the broken window, but his legs started to give out on him.

I looked at Mayhem and told him to pick Malcom up. He picked Malcom up, and carried him to the broken window. I saw my bag, ran over to it, and picked it up. I ran over to the window, and Mayhem helped me up to the window sill, and I tried to pull him up. He told me to stop, pulled himself up, and carried Malcom to the hospital.

When we got to the hospital Mayhem was told to put Malcom down. They asked for his medical information, but we didn't have it, so I called his mom. When she arrived, and saw Malcom she started crying.

The doctor said, "Get yourself together ma'am, we need your son's medical information." She gave it to him, and they wheeled him to a hospital room, room 4, I told them, "Not that room."

But they said, "He needs a hospital bed, and this is the only room left."

I started to cry. When they said that I needed to tell them what happened, I started to cry even harder. I can't tell them about the alley. I tried to run from the room, but Mayhem stopped me.

"I-I can't." I said, my voice weak from crying. I sat down in the chair, next to Mrs. Snow, crying even harder than her.
