The Blood of Lumea

The world of Granate was built on war and blood. Since its conception, the traveling gods fought for the right to rule it, but for some reason they soon left, leaving one of their dead under the earth. Their spilled blood gave life to everything. Granate soon became a world with no gods, in which everyone had a bit of divine. Eons after, the world was just as violent. Countries and races fought, and on the center of it all, stands the tiny sovereign state of Carmesi. On the outskirts of its capital, there is a red hill that once was the keep of what was once the greatest family of mercenary-mages. Their motto, power from blood, dictated their livelihood and their magic, which they used to raise armies to the ground alone. Eventually, their power was their undoing. Their home, Blood Hill was destroyed, their secrets burned and their members killed and impaled. The war did what it always does, and even the people that destroyed Blood Hill were killed. The only surviving member was left with nothing, not even his promise of revenge. Now, his only choice is to pursue the call of Carcass, the infinite dungeon under the earth, sprouted from the body of the dead goddess Lumea. There he hopes to find meaning, power, or just a quick death. * This is my first novel so don't hesitate to tell me if you have any tips! * I will be inclunding my drawings on some of the chapters to ilustrate some of the harder worldbuilding stuff. The Carcass of Lumea is a dungeon that doesn't follow logic, so sometimes things *will* get weird. I'm not that good of a drawer so bear with me :D
