Electrifying! There is magic in the story, and even more in the characters . Every chapter introduces interesting and complex people who interact in both human and fantastical ways . Swords, sorcery, adventure and romance . This book has it all .

What a page turner. I could not stop reading this book and can't wait for Samuel Rust's next book. If your looking for an adventure this is it without a doubt. With such vivid details this book immediately pulled me inside and made it extremely hard for me to leave.

An interesting read. There was so much development, both for the characters and the world background, that I was surprised that it was a completed story with only 50 chapters. However, after completing the series, it is obvious that the story was not finished, but was only the beginning. I would not be surprised, and even hope, that the story is continued in a new series, a book 2 if you will. A recommended read.

I really love the book and love how it progressed, but I really dont get the ending, so do they eventually destroy the people corrupted by the shroud, or does Marina kill Ronan and the others to get their power?
