Chapter 72: Elias's Revelation

Despite realizing his actions were somewhat morbid, Elias couldn't help but stare at the horrific scene of dismembered remains, lost in deep thought. 

In this world, ghosts didn't exist. 

Such phenomena shouldn't exist in reality. 

It made no sense. 

His skill 'Negotiation/Calming,' a higher-level game mechanic, was also inexplicably ineffective. 

Yet, these anomalies were slowly clarifying a suspicion in his mind.

Just as an answer seemed on the verge of emerging...

"Mr. Elias, what are you doing?"

Housekeeper Caroline appeared as if she had materialized out of nowhere, standing in front of him with an expressionless face.

She didn't even glance at the dreadful state of her subordinate; her eyes were fixed on Elias, unblinking.

"I'm conducting an experiment," Elias replied, looking up at her. "Would you like to know the result?"
