25 Gas Leak

Everyone was so stunned at Hito's performance that no one said anything until Najimi started clapping like tomorrow was the end of the world.
"Woah.." Yui couldn't stop herself from admiring his performance, not to mention his voice sounds.
It's like she was listening to an American singer live, as she literally couldn't tell the difference.
He was that fluent in English, at least when singing, however, he's still a bit awkward speaking normally with that language.
"What was that..?!" Miura exclaimed in shock, honestly she never expected him to sing fluently and amazingly like that.
"Me, singing..?" Hito answered while raising his brow at her.
"No, of course, I know that! I mean how can you sing like that?!" Miura asked in disbelief.
"Practice, what else would I do?" He answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
His answer is making her look like an idiot, if it weren't for the fact that she was still stunned, she would have gotten mad.
Before she could say anything, this time it was Hayato who asked a question. "What she meant Tadano-san, is how did you get so good at singing, not to mention fluent in english?"
However, his answer was still the same. "But all I did was practice though? There's no trick to it."
With his honest answer, everyone except Najimi was dumbfounded, even with practice not everyone could reach that level.
To achieve that kind of singing level, normally it would take a decade or more, and Hito wasn't even practicing singing daily, he did it occasionally whenever he felt like it.
And that isn't normal, no one could ever achieve that kind of level without years of serious practice not to mention without a singing instructor.
So for him to achieve this level without outside help, is nothing sort of amazing, only geniuses could do something similar.
Worst of all, he didn't seem to realize that what he did was mind-blowing.
Then all of a sudden Hina started bawling tears out of her eyes. "OMG! That was so sad, I could feel the emotions that you put through the song!"
Hito stares at her uncomfortably, while he did express some emotions while singing that song, it was more out of nostalgia than sadness.
Her reaction was an exaggeration but decided not to say anything about it because he's a nice guy.
"Although I can't understand English, you sound really nice!" Tobe grins and gives him a thumbs up.
"You were even better than before Tadano-kun! I was even surprised!" Najimi said excitedly.
After that incident, they became closer to Hito and started paying more attention to him.
Before he sang, he was basically just an extra member of the group with no real standing, just a temporary one.
But this event solidified his position in the group making him a true member of their popular friend circle.
Hito didn't even realize it himself that the group was unconsciously getting more friendlier to him.

It was a tiring day for him, after singing all afternoon in the karaoke since they realize how good he is at singing, it was decided by the majority that they wanted to keep him singing because of how good he is, and the group themselves didn't feel like singing because they became self-conscious of their singing level.
Compared to him, probably only Yui herself was the one who was interested in singing again but couldn't because she was admiring his voice, and she didn't care if she didn't get a chance to sing just to hear him sing again.
That's why after he left the karaoke, his throat felt so dry that he might have damaged it due to constant singing at a higher voice level.
Usually, this would take days if not weeks to recover, but because of his newfound ability of regeneration, his throat quickly healed and his voice was now normal.
He thanked his new ability for that, even though he doesn't know where it came from.
Yes, it's from the tree but not exactly 'where' his ability originated or 'how' he gained the ability, he was unconscious when it happened.
He'll get an answer soon, he's pretty sure of it, if what the system says about getting everything with the right amount of achievement points, then he would know.
You might think it's a waste, but not knowing the origin of his new ability is important, who knows where it came from and its side effects.
Maybe it doesn't or maybe it does, but that is why he is going to find out.
On his way home, he checked his phone and he got new contacts in his line.
Yumiko Miura,
Yuigahama Yui,
Ebina Hina,
Kakeru Tobe,
Hayama Hayato,
And Osana Najimi.
Not to mention, the group chat he recently joined.
Its name is the Royal Group.
Bold name, but considering their popularity it wouldn't be far-fetched from being royalty, though only in school.
Either way, he was quite happy to get new contacts, at least his line wasn't as empty as it used to be.
Although, he wasn't sure if he could call them his friends, except for Najimi of course.
They're just a bit different from his friends, but he'd have no issues calling them friends if they asked him to, because he didn't want to assume wrong that they are.
Acted friendly with them, but they won't do the same because they weren't 'that' close, he'd only be humiliated and wasn't planning on doing that anytime soon.
Plenty of people have actually experienced that kind of situation, they assume that they're close because of their previous interaction but it turns out it was just you who believes that.
And it would become awkward for you and not them, not to mention it would take a blow to your reputation.
That's why he'd never assume.
Because if you read the situation wrong, it would be you who gets humiliated.

Thankfully though, he wasn't late when he arrived home, because he didn't want another session of his mother's nagging. Not only was it humiliating, but it was also embarrassing.
Only if Lumine is there to listen, of course, it wouldn't have any effect if she wasn't there to watch.
After changing into more comfortable clothes, and a sweater, he went to the living room to watch TV.
Maybe he'd see something interesting, a man can hope as there is hardly anything interesting in the news nowadays.
It's just old news or popular idols or star scandals.
As he arrived at the living room, he realized that he wasn't alone in the room. Lumine was there watching some news herself.
He approached her and said, "Hey, watching some news?"
Lumine shifts her gaze toward his direction and nods. "Yeah…"
"Is there something good?" Hito sat right beside the couch she's sitting on.
"No, I think? Whatever shows in the news today is just a repeat of yesterday." Lumine admitted.
Hito nodded in acceptance, he wasn't surprised newscasters would occasionally do that each year if they don't have anything to mention.
"I see…" Hito's gaze shifted toward the Television and listened.
"There's a huge gas leak in Fuyuki city yesterday night….." The newscaster said.
Hito couldn't help but realize something. 'Fuyuki again? What's with their gas-leaking incidents? It happened a few times a row in a single week.'
After that he shifts his attention back to Lumine, temporarily forgetting the 'gas leaks' from Fuyuki City.
"Lumine, so how does it feel to be part of my family." He said.
"Eh..?" Lumine's cheeks turned a bit pink when he mentioned that.
Hito was confused by her reaction for a moment before he realized how misleading his question was.
He immediately turned red, as his question could mean another thing.
"No, no! I-i mean how does it feel to be adopted by my family!" He quickly explained.
"O-oh, you mean that." Lumine let out a sigh, then continued. "I don't know really…it just happened so fast that I find it quite unbelievable."
That….was quite understandable really, his mother was really fast to act and adopted Lumine even though they just met for like a week.
"I get what you mean…things just happened so fast…" Hito answered, he started recalling the things that happened within the past few days.
Things that happened to him within the last few days felt like some sort of story that came from a fantasy novel.
But he was sure that it wasn't because, he experienced it himself plus, who would have made him the main character, he wasn't really interesting if he was an author he'd written someone more special, more good looking.
Like Lumine, she'd be like the main heroine of her own story.
Then they spent the rest of the time in silence, however, it was an awkward kind of silence but a comfortable one.

Technically he isn't wrong, as Lumine is the main heroine in Genshi Impact, however, he was wrong about himself, even without making fanfic about him, he's basically a main character type of person.
Also, why am I explaining something that you guys already know?
Lol, anyway now that I basically confirmed that Fate-verse is going to be part of the crossover, I'd like to say a few things.
Shirou wouldn't exist in this world, I mean technically he does but, he isn't an Emiya.
The Shirou of this world didn't have an accident involving fire, and still has his family somewhere.
And no, he isn't going to be a part of this story, not because I don't like him, but because I like him too much to the point that if I did add him, he'd be replacing Hito as the protagonist so I won't add him for this story's sanity.
Another thing, if you ask if Shirou doesn't exist then, did the Fuyuki Fire Incident not happen?
No, it still happened, the Fourth Holy Grail War happened, and the conclusion of the war is mostly the same, except for one major thing.
But if I mentioned it, it would be obvious whose character I'm using to replace Shirou.
Kiritsugu found 'her' rather than 'he', her name would be Shiro (White) no extra U.
Anyway, probably some of you figured out who it is I'm going to replace Shirou with, if you're confident then please mention them.
I'd be really interested in your guesses.
Also, while Fate had a reputation for having a really, really cruel storyline don't expect me to include that in my story, because I'm sure that I'm incapable of making something like that…well maybe? Honestly, I don't want to try so don't expect me to make a Fate-level type of despair.
I like the action and slice of life, not the despair.
Now mentioning despair I'm having flashbacks of Enoshima Junko, fuck that crazy but hot bitch, till this day I can't decide if I like her or hate her.

I can finally started writing new chapters again since I'm mostly cured from my sickness, I hope that it won't happen again gosh it was a terrible not to mention the headache I don't want to deal with it again!
Thank god really that it's only temporary and not a long term or I wouldn't be able to update!
It was only thanks to the stockpile chapters that's why I managed to update this story daily without a fail.
