Maya sighed heavily while sitting on her sofa watching television in the middle of the night after returning home from work earlier that evening. Her thoughts were racing as she replayed the conversation that she overheard on her way home, and the teenager realized that she had been avoiding Jamal ever since they returned home from LA earlier that week while he had been working overtime in the evenings.
