Maya was shocked to find that someone was knocking loudly at her door just moments after she hung up with Jamal. She rushed towards her bedroom to put some clothes on since she was planning on meeting her girlfriends for lunch after she finished work, and that's when she saw her neighbor's daughter standing at her doorstep. The young girl looked frightened as she pleaded, "Ms. Mays, please help me! My parents kicked me out of the house yesterday due to my father's strict religious beliefs. They told me that they disowned me since I'm going to college instead of working towards becoming a pastor like he wants me to do."

"Who is your father?"

"Ricky Collins."

"Do you have any proof regarding your situation?"

"No."

Maya sighed softly as she sat on the sofa, "What happened between you and your parents?"

"They caught me smoking marijuana and drinking beer in our garage while I was hanging out with one of my classmates from school."
