He is a vampire

"Alaric." I gasped.

"You remember...." He said plastering a wide grin on his face, there were clearly no fangs in his teeth which means that I was only reacting to the potion that Mrs Rollins had given me.

Why the hell did she give me that potion, that's something I could not get out of my head. 

"Do you know this guy?." Cherry asked me protectively standing in front of me so that she can be the barricade between Alaric and I.

He looked down at her lips, his eyes darkened with lust.

"Cherry, Kaya are you both alright, is this guy brothering you?." I heard, when I turned it was Kris.

Kris was not muscular in any way, he looked like he only worked out once a week, he was nothing in size compared to Alaric.

"Yeah, we're fine. This guy just walked up to Kaya and grabbed her." Cherry replied.

Alaric turned to Kris and then shook his head in anger.

"You know, you're lucky." He said to me backing off. "I would catch you when you're alone next time, watch your back." He warned me and shot Kris another look before he turned away.

I was shocked, did Kris just wade him off just as Elvis has done, but Kris was just an ordinary guy.

He walked up to me and shot me a smile, I shuddered as his fags flashed, this was broad daylight and I wasn't dreaming.

"Kaya, I hope you're alright." Kris said to me cupping my face in his hand.

Kris' POV 

I stood sorting out the scents that were related to vanilla when I smelt a perfect vanilla that could make a man mad. 

"Kaya." I muttered standing up and pushing the perfume bottles aside. I could smell someone else, someone more familiar. He smelt like sin and madness, something sour yet strangely attractive.

I stepped out of the shop and I saw his hands on Kaya's shoulder, i was right, I knew who this person was.

It was Alpha Alaric. The cold hearted and ruthless beast of a man. Cherry stood in front of Kaya and I knew that if I didn't step in quickly, Alaric would draw blood from one of them.

In order to keep a war from happening between Vampires, Humans and Werewolves the councils had forged a law where If you're a member of a vampire coven, your human friends would be considered under the protection of your coven and if there is threat from another coven against your human friends, werewolf or vampire, you would simply warn them to back away and they would have to obey, no matter who the threat was coming from.

This time the threat was coming from one of the most feared Alpha and he was a threat to my human friend, although I didn't hold a high rank in my coven, the safety of both Kaya and cherry were assured.

"Cherry, Kaya are you both alright, is this guy brothering you?." I asked the both of them.

Alaric turned to me and I saw hate cross his eyes. Werewolves had a strong hate towards Vampires and he knew that if he went further to harm them the rage of all my pack members and our allies would hunt him.

"Yeah, we're fine. This guy just walked up to Kaya and grabbed her." Cherry complained.

Alaric took steps backwards.

" You know you're lucky, I would catch you when you're alone next time, watch your back. " he threatened, and I knew he wasn't bluffing.

I asked Kaya if she okay. 

I found myself holding Kaya's face in my hand, her scent was captivating, I could barely hold myself, I would have bent down to give her a light kiss but a look in her eyesade me pause, that was when I figured that my fangs were out.

I turned away quickly hoping she wouldn't see it but I guess it was too late.

Kaya's POV

I felt a tap on my arm and jumped from the desk, my eyes were itchy.

"Kaya, you feel asleep again." Cherry said in a whisper, she held my hand and I could tell that she was worried.

"I'm not pregnant." I told her.

"A stick pregnancy test wouldn't hurt. There's a pharmacy on main street, we can..." She was saying but she had to stop because Arianne just walked into the shop.

"It took you long enough, you're late, it's twelve thirty." Cherry said to her glancing at her watch.

"Oh it was worth it." Arianne's smile was creepy and it was directed towards me, if I had a car parked outside I would say she had set it on fire.

She walked towards where I was sitting.

"You never told me you were hiding from someone." She said, her eyes were staring holes into mine.

"I don't get you." I told her.

She laughed.

"Nobody informed me that you have a little secret... But don't worry, justice is about to walk through those doors, he's coming." She added.

Cherry and I exchanged confused glances and we watched Arianne walk away, swaying her hips in confidence. 

Lycan's POV.

"You can not just go after Alaric and murder him because he saw Kaya." Alex said to me.

"Because he saw Kaya... SAW?."

"Okay, he might have tried to mess with her. But you can't, one she's no longer your business and two we're trying to prevent this war, if you spark it, you wouldn't be able to put it out and it would be too much for all of us blood thirsty beasts to handle, Maybe then the vampires would take over." 

" Alex you better back the fuck away from me. " I warned him.

" I know that I'm the only one that can at least talk sense into your head that's why I'm trying to stop you from doing something destructive. "

 There was ringing coming from my phone. It was Justice, the guy I had assigned to find Kaya. I picked the phone.

"I found her." Justice said 

" How did you do it?." 

" It's a pretty long story boss but a girl named Arianne Daminy had information about her, she sent me a photo of Kaya, it was taken just some seconds ago. I'm forwarding it to you along with the address of where she is. " 

I ended the call and saw the photo, it was really Kaya. She was sitting on a rotating chair, there was a brunette sitting opposite her... I was about to drop the phone and pick up my car keys when I looked closely and saw a guy's hand wrapped around Kaya's but he wasn't in the full picture. 

Jealousy almost drove me crazy.
