Menacing

When they arrived at the Navy Club, Nelly took Lennon to the private room she had booked in the afternoon.

After sitting for nearly ten minutes, Melanie arrived.

Seeing Nelly, Melanie waved to her very close. "Hi, dear."

Nelly smiled and said, "Come and sit down."

After Melanie sat down, she nodded to Lennon, who looked serious beside Nelly. "Master Lennon, good evening."

Lennon nodded to her and didn't say anything.

Nelly asked, "Melanie, what do you want to drink?"

Melanie approached Nelly and whispered in her ear, "Your man has a scary face. I can't drink it."

Nelly looked sideways at Lennon and then looked down with a smile.

Lennon said coldly, "What are you laughing at?"

"Melanie said..."

Melanie quickly covered her mouth with her hand and grinned at Lennon. "I say, Mr. Johns is much more handsome than in the photos. Master Lennon, I'm Nelly's best friend. You married my best friend. Shouldn't you buy me a drink?"
