This loud slap came too suddenly, catching Nelly off guard.

Her cheek was burning with pain, but her heart felt like it was bleeding.

She looked at Susan, but the disappointment in her eyes disappeared in an instant. She started to laughed.

Nelly's reaction stunned Susan. She glanced at her palm and hurriedly stepped forward to explain, "Nelly..."

Nelly retreated, "Don't touch me."

Susan shook his head. "Nelly, I didn't mean it. I just hope you don't mention your father again. He made me suffer too much. I hate him."

"You remembered the suffering he brought you, but you probably forgot that he had given you all his love and warmth too."
