Farewell, Love

She felt conflicting emotions surge through her, thinking of how selfish she had been not considering his feelings. He loved her, she loved him, she was supposed to be happy that she hadn't been a mere pass time for him.

But yet she felt saddened, heavy and constricted watching him shake her shoulders and slump his shoulders helplessly. She wanted to reach out to him, to tell him she was in love with him too, but something held her back.

It was the knowledge that they both had lives in their individual homes and couldn't easily leave them to be with each other.

"Excuse me please. If you two are for the six o'clock flight, do hurry up to check in. It's almost time." A blonde lady in grey uniform informed them and walked on, ignorant of the weight her message carried.
