Chapter 43: The Gray Wolf

Helina had never seen Chase look this bewildered. He seemed to take stock of his surroundings, but there was no doubt in Helina’s mind that he was the gray wolf who had come to help him. Why hadn't he told her? The confusion might be because Chase had no idea that he was a shifter.

Helina couldn’t fathom how that could happen. Chase must have grown up in a human household that didn’t know he was a shifter. Maybe his mother wasn’t and he was. The shifter DNA would be dominant.

Colt shifted back to his human form and slapped Chase on the back. “I knew it. I knew you were a shifter.”

“You did?” Chase said.
