Chapter 42: A Surprise For Them All

Helina wanted to shift to human form and run to Chase, but she had to tackle Kurt first. It wouldn’t be a fair fight since she wasn’t his Luna or even his equal. She would die saving Chase. He was an innocent in all of this, and she would defend him to her death.

Their plan was for Helina to take on Kurt while Colt freed Chase. He’d escape while Colt helped Helina battle Kurt. The two of them could take out the Alpha wolf. Kurt needed to be gone. Defeated. Helina might die before it happened, but at least Chase would be safe.

Chase’s gaze went from Helina to Kurt, who didn't seem to notice they were there. She would have the element of surprise. Kurt in human form would be a less formidable opponent, but he wouldn’t stay in that form long. Once she attacked, his wolf would come to his defense.
