Chapter 20: Chase Reveals His Intentions

Helina was glad that she wasn’t drinking anything when Chase said that. She might have spit the liquid across the table. Instead, she calmly put down her glass of wine and studied him.

“I want this company as one that I’ll keep and reap the profits from. I haven’t done that yet, but I want to so that I can spend time with a wife.”

“One that you haven’t chosen yet.”

“Yes, exactly.”

It was all so clinical. He wanted to choose some woman that he didn’t know yet. “Do you have someone in mind?”

She squelched down the streak of jealousy for a woman she didn’t know. This woman would get to wake up next to Chase every morning. They would build a house together. Have children. Helina didn’t want to think along those lines, but that’s what would happen when Chase took a wife. He wouldn’t need Helina as much and she would probably have to move out of the penthouse. This was going to get complicated.
