Chapter 17: Helina Lets Out Her Wolf

Helina stayed awake until Chase fell asleep. His breathing settled into a normal pattern. She slid out of bed and paused to make sure she hadn’t disturbed him. She was in pajama bottoms and a t-shirt. She’d seen women go outside dressed like this, so she just went with it. There was no need to change if she was just going for a walk outside.

Chase would probably still be asleep when she returned. She looked at her phone in the bathroom and located a park a block from the hotel. It looked to be a large one so she could roam for a while without seeing anyone. Hopefully, there wouldn’t be drug dealers in this one.

No one was at the desk when she passed it and she was thankful that she wouldn’t have to explain herself to anyone.

She arrived at the park. She looked around before she shifted, but didn’t see anyone out on the street. This wasn’t as large a city as the one she and Chase lived in. Maybe it wasn’t as dangerous either.
