Day 9

Catherine

I look at him with so much shock. I didn't know that he was the CEO! The famous CEO to be exact!

"H-hello Sir," is all I can say at the moment.

I'm ashamed and speechless!

"Sit down Miss?" He asks.

"I'm Catherine," I answer.

"Sit down, Miss Catherine. What can I do for you?" He is very cheerful and smiling.

I'm still afraid to ask! But I'm already here, So I will grab this opportunity.

"I want to quit Sir and terminate my contract as a participant and player of this game." I finally said it!

He pauses for a while and looks at me.

"I'm afraid that I can't grant your request, Catherine." He answers.

"Why?" I asked.

"A player or participant can't terminate their contract. Quitting is not allowed. Unless you pay a million bucks," he explained.

I thought that I can quit, So bad for me!

"Okay, I thought that I can quit since my partner is eliminated," I said sadly.

"Sad to say, You can't! Players should continue the game until they will be eliminated." He said.

And it hurts me more! I don't want to play their bullshit game anymore! But, what can I do? There's nothing of course!

"Thank you for your time, I'm going," I said and stand up.

I think I lose all my strength in coming in here!

"Are you okay?" He asks concerned.

"I'm okay, Sir. Just feel a little disappointed but I'm okay." I answer smiling.

But deep inside, I'm dying!

"Okay, Just continue the game. Who knows if you will win!" He cheers me up but I'm still feeling down.

"Thank you, Sir. Gotta go," I say goodbye and get out of his office with a sad expression.

I almost stumble! And surprised to see Vincent at my back looking at me intensely.

I don't know what's with him but I'm not in the mood to talk to him right now.

I continue to walk.

"What are you doing in the office?" I stop walking when he shouted.

I turn around," It's none of your business!" I answer and roll my eyes.

"Did you say something?" He asks suspiciously.

And I don't know why he's acting this way!

"Yes! I ask if I can quit the game! But I can't! What else do you want to know?!" I raised my voice.

I'm so frustrated right now!

"Do you want to quit?" He asks again.

"I want! I want to go home but I can't!" I shouted.

"I guess that you didn't read your contract!" He said shaking his head.

They are all true. I didn't read the contract because I supported George wholeheartedly in joining the game. And look at what happened!

It's all in the past and It's useless to regret the decision that I've made. Much worst is tomorrow is their legal wedding!

"It's my fault, you're happy?" I ask and left.

I want to go and sleep but some participants want to give me a headache!

"Oh, the power couple guys! But- not now! They are the weakest couple! Hahaha!" Someone from the cafeteria intentionally wants to make trouble with me.

But the fact that they are right is what angered me!

We are the power couple and we became a laughing stock because of that bullshit temptation!

Not just the weakest but we are the most shameless too!!

"What's your problem? You act like you didn't lose your boyfriend and married another girl!" I reminded her.

She just chuckled and continue eating her nasty bubble gum.

"I didn't forget it. But yours is worse than mine. You're boastful and full of pride. Now, where will you?"

"I'm just here in Lust Island. Where should I go?" I answer sarcastically.

"Right, you were flirting with the handsome Japanese hunk. After being dumped. Now, your target is Vincent. You're amazing!" She said with disgust.

Just what's wrong with her? I want to rest and relax peacefully but these bastards won't give me peace!

"Are you done? I'd rather sleep in my room than listen to your smelly and noisy mouth. If you'll excuse me!" I said and walk away.

But before I walk away she shouted.

"The power gay!!! Hahaha!" She is laughing evilly!

I want to punch her face but I control myself.

"A loser like you is not worth my precious time. Loser!"

"Huh-" She was cut off by Vincent!

"Shut up your fuck'in mouth! You lose your boyfriend too, so why bully the other participants? We all lose our partners! You don't have the right to be little your co-players when you also have nothing!" Vincent said angrily.

I must say, Nice one! But he's serious.

"Yeah, he is right!"

"You don't have a boyfriend anymore!

"You must not look down on the others!"

"You're a loser, Girl!"

The rest of the participants join and she walks away.

Sandra swallowed her saliva!

"Thank you," I said to Vincent.

"My head is aching for these kinds of people!" He answers.

"Really? I thought that you were the annoying one!" I joke but he's serious.

"I won't tolerate this kind of behavior," he said seriously.

I don't know where's the Vincent that I've known!

The Devil Bastard is a little bit of a joker.

Now in front of me is a real Devil!

"Fine, I want to rest," I said and walk away.

"Where? In your room? That's not a rest, Let's go somewhere else." He invited me.

"Huh?" I asked confused.

"Come on, I'm offering you a luxury relaxation." He added.

"Luxury? Where? At the forest? We can't go back in there." I shake my head and walk away.

"You're so, stubborn!" He holds my hand and drags me away.

We are walking towards the sea where s luxurious yacht is waiting for us!

"Seriously?!" I ask surprised.

"I'm serious, Let's go and enjoy the view." He said and hold my hand again.

"Are we allowed to ride the yacht?" I stop walking and look at him.

"Don't worry, this one is an exception. We are allowed to relax and enjoy ourselves. Those bastards are not allowed to join haha." He laughs.

I look at him while he's laughing. He is like a little boy!

But it's good to see him smile.

"Okay, you said so," I said and we ride the yacht.

But there's no one except us!

"Where's the driver?" I ask.

"You're looking at the driver," he answers.

"What? Do you know how to drive this yacht?"

"Of course! Sit down and we will go to the middle of the sea!" He said.

"Let's go!" I answer and he drives the yacht.

He's good and we have smooth sailing. We stop in the middle of the sea like what he said.

He went inside the yacht and comes back with a fishing gear in his hand.

"What are you going to do?" I ask the obvious!

"Fishing! This is the exciting part, Catherine. If we don't catch a single fish, we don't have dinner to eat!" He said laughing.

"What?! You said that we are going to relax? Why it seems that it's given me stress?"

"Hahaha, Just try fishing. It's a stress reliever."

"Fine, Let's try then." I excitedly said.

It's my first time to go fishing. And of all places and people to be with.

It's on Lust Island and with Vincent! It's fun indeed!

We patiently wait for the fish to click the bait. And it takes too long! Fishing requires a lot of patience if you want to catch some fish.

We must catch it! Because I'm hungry!

Oh my! I wish Vincent would catch one so that we can eat.

Moments later...

We both catch a fish!

"Wow! I can't believe that I can catch one. It's amazing!" I said excitedly looking at the fish that I catch.

"Isn't it fun? We have our dinner now!" He said laughing.

"I have some fun, thanks Vincent," I said sincerely.

"Much better than calling me a bastard. Hahaha!"

I look at him while laughing. It's much better too! Than looking at his angry face!

"Let's grill the fish!" He said.

I follow him and the grilling station is ready, except for the fish.

"Come on! Let's add some spice and grill these fishes." He said while waving his hand.

And I stop for a moment, It feels like the time has stopped too! Everything stops around me! Vincent's smiling face is looking at me.

"Hey! Are you okay?" He asks.

I blink my eyes and I'm back from reality.

Just, What happened?

"Of course, I'm okay. Let's cook that fish!" I answer.

We happily cook the fish and we eat while looking at the sunset. It's a very nice view!

The sunset's reflection in the water is fascinating.

I felt relaxed and inner peace. This is the relaxation that I want.

"Time to heat it! Let's have some wine!" Vincent said with a wine in his hand.

"Where did you get that?" I ask wondering.

"Of course at the bar haha. This yacht had a bar inside which is full of wine," he explains.

"That's great! But why there's no food?"

"Because it's great to eat fresh fish and seafood. Tomorrow will catch some squid."

"Tomorrow? We will not go back to the Island today?"

"Nope, let's sleep in here." He answers while sipping his wine.

I drink my wine in one go, feeling thirsty.

"Oops! Drink slowly. Don't worry, we have lots of wine in here!" He said laughing.

"Oh, It's a great wine with a nice smell," I answer but my mind is floating somewhere else.

"Are you nervous? You don't like to sleep in here?" He asks furrowing his brows.

"It's not like that, What if they will disqualify us?

"Huh? That will never happen! Or-" he said hanging.

I look at him while pouring some wine into my glass. "Or what?" I ask.

"Or, You are afraid of me?" He asks while looking into my eyes.

Am I afraid of him?!
