The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. The regret

In a dimly lit room, anguish and violence filled the air. A tall, imposing figure relentlessly inflicted brutality upon a chained and defenseless man. Each punch landed with vicious precision, assaulting the man's stomach, chest, and face.

The room echoed with the sickening sound of fists making contact, and the unfortunate victim was perilously close to unconsciousness. Blood poured from his mouth, staining his bruised and battered face. But the brutality didn't stop.

"Stop, stop beating him." Elsa's voice trembled with anguish as she squirmed in her own restraints, her eyes brimming with tears.

Her heart was heavy with guilt and despair. She longed to intervene, to halt the vicious beating, but her hands were cruelly bound and her feet shackled.

The sense of powerlessness was overwhelming, and she blamed herself for this nightmarish ordeal. If only she had listened to her brother, none of them would have been ensnared in this nightmarish situation.
