The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. The lethal attack

Late at night…

Jasper sat vigilantly on a sofa by the bed, keeping watch over Ella as she slept peacefully. Peeping out of the window periodically, he surveyed the surroundings, checking for any signs of suspicious activity.

As the hours crept by, Jasper began to feel the weight of exhaustion. His eyelids drooped, and his head nodded forward, threatening to succumb to sleep. But he fought against it, knowing that he couldn't afford to let his guard down.

His exhaustion eventually overcame him, and he succumbed to drowsiness, unaware of the impending threat closing in.

A group of menacing figures clad in black silently gathered around the small hotel. Executing their plan with deadly precision, they infiltrated the premises, eliminating the receptionist with a swift and silent kill.

The group then approached the room where Jasper and Ella were staying. The lobby was empty since it was late at night. Their footsteps were light and made no sound.
