The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. The helpless remorse

Sebastian was not at all happy with Abigail crying so much. His heart was aching, yet his pain manifested itself as rage.

"Stop crying," he hissed. "You have been crying every day for two weeks. I told you not to think about Christopher anymore. He is not coming here for you. He was never yours, and he will never be yours. The sooner you accept it, the better."

"How cruel you are!" Abigail scowled. "How can you ask me to forget about my husband?"

"Because I know he is not the right man for you. He didn't marry you out of love. He kept you by his side for selfish reasons. You will soon see his true self."

Abigail's anger was rising. She would never believe what he had said.

"You will get everything here… the luxury life that you have only imagined, the power, the authority… You will carry my legacy. Everything I own is now yours. You can obtain whatever you want. All you have to do is forget about Christopher and start over anew."
