Jasper's words had hit her nerve, and the temperature inside her had risen several degrees.

Abigail couldn't believe he was saying such things about Christopher. It was true that Christopher didn't love her initially, but things had changed now.

She knew he had fallen deeply for her and that he would never play with her feelings.

"You are lying," she shouted. "Christopher loves me and…"

"I am not lying; you are living in delusion," he retorted, interrupting her. "If he really loved you, he would have trusted you. But he doesn't, and that's why he is jealous and insecure."

He cocked his head and moved toward her. "Why do you think he is trying to destroy my business? He knows how much I care about you. He is just trying to get me out of the picture. In reality, he doesn't want me to show you his real face."
