The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. Lance’s weird demand (Part-2)

Abigail's racing heart echoed in her ears, and a cold sweat clung to her trembling form as she tried to take in her surroundings.

This room was different from the others; she could sense it. It was a bedroom. She couldn't help but feel a sense of unease wash over her as she assumed it was Lance's room.

The bed loomed large in the center of the room, its dark wood frame seeming to tower over her. The windows were covered with heavy curtains, blocking out any outside light and adding to the claustrophobic atmosphere.

She couldn't understand why he had brought her into his bedroom.

Lance moved closer to her, his eyes fixed intently on her face. His smile grew wider, his teeth glinting in the light. Abigail felt a chill run down her spine as he reached out and stroked her cheek, his touch sending waves of fear through her body.

Desperation crept into her voice as she demanded, "What do you want from me?"
