Chapter 12

Tyrone's POV

" Mr. President we have the best designer in our company but why do we need to set a meeting and give the small companies the opportunity to be part of this "

I'm annoyed with the old Mr. Go. He's one of the board members. He suddenly entered my office and said what he wanted.

I didn't bother to look at him. And the way he acts, it's like he's in charge of all the plans in the company.

"If that concerns you, Mr. Go you have to leave now. I know what am I doin' "

"But---"

"One more word or else I'm gonna call a board meeting and replace you!"

I scolded him seriously. He trembled and went out. I hate it when someone interferes with my plans. I know that they are part of my company but I still have the right to order!

"S-sorry Mr. President. Bye."

He said and left. I leaned back in my chair. I pinch the bridge of my nose because I'm really pissed off.

I know that I already own her but...aish! What am I thinking ?! It's not like I'm falling…no! No!

*knock~knock*

"Come in "

I said while closing my eyes. I felt that he stopped in front of my desk but still I didn't bother to look at that person.

"what do you want?"

I'm emotionless if you ask. He slightly coughs before speaking to me.

"Mr. Zaires here's the other update for Ms. Scarlet"

I widened my eyes and took what he placed on my table. Yes, I am updating myself because of what my wife is doing. It's better this way than knowing in the end that she left me suddenly because someone found a bigger fish but I'm not saying she's a gold digger because honestly, she's not one.

Maybe my ex/first love. She's the real gold digger. Aish!

"What about her again?"

I asked wonderingly. I looked at the envelope and the contents.

"Miss. Scarlet still has a sister at the ***hospital. She is confined and under treatment, because she has heart disease and it is bad"

I suddenly became serious. She didn't tell me the reason why she needed the money. Is it because of her sister?

Is that why she always says that she needs money and not expensive things? Is it also because of the hospital bills?

"And also..her mother who now lives in the province and has high blood and lives only in their rice fields..."

So her mother was still alive? I just don't know anything about her but I still don't care. Or I am.

"Do you still have something to say ?"

"Yes. Calid Santos..one of your business partners. "

I was surprised. Calid Santos is my business partner in the Beverage-Market. How come they're connected?

"What about him?"

He bows first while taking out the pictures of the man and my wife's mother.

" When Ms. Scarlet is in debt she will be forced to marry him for payment"

That's when my ears rang. Tsk. Another rival huh? I smirk secretly and my face is serious again. I thank him and wave my hands to dismiss him.

Terrence is not the only one who has a claim on my wife. There's also Calid in the game that I can't let them get what they want but one thing is for sure

'I will surely win'.

Scarlet's POV

I am here at the place where the restaurant designed by the client will be built. I was assigned to a tiny discussion with the engineers. And I also want to see where to build the building.

I only spent a few minutes in that place before I said goodbye and returned to the office. I took the things I needed before approaching Hannah to discuss my idea for making a design that we could present to the board. I'm nervous about what will happen that maybe we won't be able to get together or they won't like my/our design.

I have to present something. I just sat in my chair while Hannah adjusted and moved to my table. There are so many things that need to be fixed and all of them are on my desk, so she just adjusted instead of being alone and had a hard time with so many things that I needed.

We are talking about the design of one floor. Yep. We know when we receive a part, it's just a floor of the company that they need to build.

Two days from now is the meeting and now is the only time I will focus my time and attention on. I know that my husband will be there too and I don't want him to be disappointed by what he sees and know that he's only giving me/us a chance.

"Ma'am, let's continue that tomorrow because it's raining heavily and it's already dark"

Hannah said while sipping the coffee she had left over. I yawned and nodded.

I finished my sketch and she just assisted me the whole time. Tomorrow I will 3D it so that I can finish my work.

"Oh okay, I'll finish it at my house"

I said and got up to fix things.

"Oh, Ma'am Scarlet, maybe they won't pay attention to you when you become haggard in front of them"

She said with a goofy smile. This is crazy. But still.

"The important thing is that we get a part"

"That's it, ma'am, you might look like zombies when you're like that, and besides..you're already good enough."

That's when I got serious. I have to show them that even though our company is small we can still fight and be proud because people still notify us. We still have work to do.

" Yes Hannah, it's better to sacrifice for us to be successful than to take it easy, maybe it will get complicated, and don't worry my fighting spirit is strong"

I told her. She just gave a peace sign so I just smiled and she said goodbye.

I'm alone. The rain is still strong. I took the elevator to the parking lot. I got in there and went straight home.

I'm like a dog that's been bathed because I'm really shivering because it's so cold. I got wet from getting out of the car. I didn't bring my umbrella so that's the reason.

I got dressed and cooked for myself. When I finish, the cookies I baked were also finished. I also mixed milk before going up to the room.

I would like to watch movies because it's not my routine and I still have a lot of work so I'll do it next time.

Here I am again, focusing on my laptop. While editing I couldn't help but think. Is Ty doing this to make my dream come true? Or is there another reason for this?

Remembering his name I suddenly felt sad and smiled brightly. I bet it's Gretzel again. But..

Why am I hurt? Whenever I think that another woman was more important than me.
