Chapter 10

Everything is ready and only Tyrone is missing. How many times have I asked myself if it's okay? Is there anything missing or will he like it?

I was only wearing a red dress that was just above the knee. I sat in the chair and waited for Ty.

I'm losing my appetite waiting. It's seven o'clock in the evening and he still hasn't come. Maybe he won't do overtime. It's his company. I waited and waited but no Ty came.

I sighed and slowly stood up to put away the things I had prepared. I felt like crying because my efforts were always ignored when it came to him. When you did everything, and want to be his woman for this night.

I put the food in the fridge one by one and then went up to the room. Maybe they are dating again with that Gretzel.

The next day I went to work because I was absent yesterday. I already sent my excuse to Boss. I just made excuses so that I wouldn't be sadder because of what happened to my husband and me.

I was shocked when someone tapped me. It's Hannah.

"Scarlet? Why are you so weak and inactive?"

She asked worriedly as he frowned. I just smiled and changed the mood to cheerful. I don't want her to worry about my drama.

"No, I'm fine. I'm still a little bit tired"

I excused myself and kept quiet. She nodded her head so I felt like I had convinced her.

"Don't stay up too late, Ma'am Scarlet. You've been good to us."

"Thank you. But I'm just doing my job. Thank you for your concern"

She just smiled and left. She said she still has something to take care of. Suddenly I remembered something. My mother.

I immediately picked up my phone and called my friend in the province who was with mom at home.

Yes, remember? And I don't even want to say what happened to my sister, maybe she will freak out and follow here.

"Hello, Shan? "

It's like my heart was crushed by what I found out. I just covered my mouth because I didn't want him to hear me cry.

They're really so mean! I don't know what to do. I have a sister in the hospital and my mother is still sick. I don't even have a lot of money or enough money to send and pay off all our debts.
