"I'll see what I can get from my mom. But you must not tell anyone. Let's play by their rules, like we don't know the secret they hid." 

She walked back into the room with Shawn tailing behind her. 

"My baby," Lyn called out as Jaz settled down beside Shawn.

She scoffed. "How do you feel, mom?" 

"I think I'm getting better. I see you two had a lovers chat." She smiled widely. 

"Yes," she glared at her. 

"It's almost time for my injections to be administered." 

"How long, mom?" She said, trying to suppress her feelings. 

"Oh, not for so long, honey. The doctors say it would only take a few days if we paid the bills on time."

"How, mom?" 

"How what, honey?" Lyn asked. 

"How do you do it?"

"Oh, well, I try to live. We'll get through this phase, honey."

He leaned closer and placed his hand over hers. 

"Hey, calm down. You're going to blow this up if you don't calm down." He whispered.
