Chapter 29

"Big brother Axel. I miss you". When Axel heard Reina's soft voice on the other side, his heart skipped a beat but his expression remained cold as always. He hasn't heard from her in such a long time. His heart misses her so much. Her smile when she cause mischief and how she takes joy in teasing him. He missed everything about her but he couldn't say anything.

"You... have you been well?" He asked. On the other side, Reina nodded with teary eyes.

That night, while standing at a high rise building, watching the beautiful city light up and contemplating about life, Axel asked coldly, "Why are you following me?" Aaron looked at him and smiled sheepishly

." The Old master wanted me to stay behind to watch over you". Axel rolled her eyes and didn't say anything. After a short moment of silence, Aaron tentatively opened his mouth to speak.

"Since when did you remember your identity and why didn't you come home?. When did you recover from your amnesia?" These questions has been bothering him since he confirmed that Axel was aware of his true identity. He still couldn't understand why he'll live such a miserable life when he was born with a gold spoon in his mouth.

Axel looked at him with a cold gaze, and clenched jaws, refusing to explain anything to him. Many years when the Lyle family rescued him from the car crash. He tried to find out who he truly was but the police couldn't help because he doesn't have any identification card with him.

Later, after trying futilely to locate his real family, he just moved in with the Lyle family, became their adopted son and gradually got used to living such a life. However, two years ago, he got into a gang fight while working as a debt collector and was hit on the head which caused a head injury, triggering his memories and bringing along a very painful memory from the past. A memory he'd rather never remember.

His most trusted person let him down and he's the result of a sin. A reality he's better off escaping from. He didn't want to acknowledge it so he pretended he didn't know anything. He willingly chose to exist as Axel Lyle for the rest of his life.

Who would've thought that his peaceful days won't last long and he was still found at the end.

"In three months time, it'll be your mother and father's memorial service. After so many years, wouldn't you want to pay your respect to them?. The Old master had been the one visiting them every year".Aaron said, looking a little sad.

Hearing his words, Axel's fist clenched tightly, his eyes turned red and frighteningly cold. He smiled derisively. "If you want to be of help to me then I want you to help me find someone. In three days l want results. If you can't do it then leave from here and never show your face in front of me".Axel uttered. He tasked Aaron with following Julia and using whatever means to find out Reina's location as soon as possible.

A much more happy and energetic Mr Lhoman arrived in S City in high spirits. Upon arriving home, he immediately made his way to a room. In a spacious and we'll decorated room filled with elegance, a nurse and a maid were carefully and attentively attending to a beautiful woman lying down motionless on a bed. Her facial features were a lot similar to Axel's.

When Mr Lhoman entered, the two quickly greeted him and tacitly exited the room. Mr Lhoman doesn't want anyone to be around when when he comes to meet his sister. Everyone knows that although Mr Lhoman is outwardly cold man but he's very caring and affectionate towards his loved ones, especially his sister.

It's famously known that these two have been very close to each other since childhood, mainly because their parents died when Mr Lhoman was only sixteen and his sister was ten. He singlehandedly raised his little sister and was extremely protective of her even to this age.

The woman lying paralyzed in bed was Rachel Lhoman, the younger sister of Mr Lhoman. After her husband died mysteriously, she was devastated and returned to the Lhoman mansion. However, a few years later, for unknown reasons she tried to commit suicide by jumping off a building. She survived the fall, but had been paralyzed since then.

An excited Mr Lhoman rushed to Rachel's bed, gently took her hand and he caressed her face while his eyes stared at her obsessively.

" Did you miss me while l was away." He asked." Did you know how much I missed you?". "But guess what?. I have good new. I finally found out whereabouts of our little Alessandro. You should see him, he's all grown up now and he looks so much like you. Isn't it wonderful?. Soon I'll bring him home and we'll all be one happy family again". He chattered excitedly. But the woman in bed remained quiet with eyes closed like a sleeping beauty.

Seeing her not minding or responding to him, Mr Lhoman doesn't seemed to be bothered, having gotten used to her ignoring him and refusing to acknowledge his existence over the years.

"Rachel, when will you open your eyes and look at me. I want you to look at me once again. Like the way you used to when you were little. Big brother will give you anything for you to smile at me again". He said sadly.

He leaned close to her and gently started to kiss her on the forehead, eyes, nose, cheeks and her chin. Kissing every inch of her face like a rare treasure. His eyes stared greedily at her lips. If anyone were to see such a scene, they be shocked to their bones.

This is certainly not how a brother looks at his sister but more like how a man looks at the woman he desires. Still he retain his sanity and didn't go through with what he wanted to do. After a while, he walked away from there. Only when her surrounding were silent again did Rachel finally showed signs of being alive. She opened her hazel eyes wide which was filled with bone chilling hatred.

"My Alessandro..." She mumbled, a lone tear slide down the corner of her eye.
