Chapter 21

Annie sat down in her room brooding as her teary eyes stared longingly at a photo of herself with Reina. She missed her sister a lot. Someone knocked on her door and soon entered. Axel walked inside, sat on the bed beside and patted her gently on her back. Annie tears fell as she started crying, telling him how much she misses Reina.

Axel comforted her, assuring her that she'll be back very soon and hugs her tight. He's also very worried about Reina. They haven't heard anything from her in two weeks. He still strongly believe that Reina's still in the country and will continue to look for her.

At a private setting, Soraya looked at the handsome man sitting opposite her and felt unmoved by his charm and felt deeply disgusted. She didn't want to have anything to do with this half-hearted man who's unworthy of her. His notorious reputation is a well known fact among the elite. She didn't want to have anything to do with Ivan Osman but her parents insisted on her going out with him. Ivans lecherous eyes were fixed on Soraya as he smiled.

He is a man who loves beautiful women and feels the need to appreciate each and every one of them. He believes in his charm to get any woman he desires on his bed. He has been warned by his family to not misbehave with Soraya because they want her as his bride.

At first, he wasn't really into the idea of marriage, but upon seeing how sexy and beautiful Soraya is, he doesn't mind having her as his wife. In fact he's looking forward to it now.

"I head you just returned from abroad not long ago. Why don't you give me the chance to show you the most amazing places in the city. I'm sure you're going to love it". Ivan said, smiling flirtatiously at her.

Soraya looked at his lustful gaze with disdain and snorted,"Mr Osman doesn't have to bother. My return to the city is mainly to chase after the man l love. I hope you can tell your parents to rescind the marriage proposal. You and l are as incompatible as water and fire. Please stay away from me henceforth".

The more she spoke, Ivan's eyes turned sharp and his smile disappeared. He looked at her with angry eyes and grabbed her hand tightly when she got up to leave. No woman has ever rejected him before and especially not a woman he wanted to make his wife will not look down on him. He was livid and seething with rage. Soraya struggled to break free from his tight hold on her left hand.

"Mr Osman should let go of me this instant. How dare you touch me with your filthy hands". Soraya spat scornfully. She didn't bother to pretend at all, shedding all form of cordiality. "Who is he?" He asked through gritted teeth.

Soraya raised an eyebrow at his outburst. When compared with the Harry who's always calm and cold, this man in front of her is lacking. They want her to marry him, not a chance. "Who is the man you think is better than me?" Ivan asked again.

Soraya looked at his crazed eyes and laughed in his face.

"In this entire capital city, no man can be compared to him. Harry Zelkowicz is the man l love."

Harry Zelkowicz! That man again?! Ivan thought. He and Harry had never seen eye to eye. They attended the same college but that bastard had always looked down on him. Now even the woman he wants is in love with him?. Not a chance.

Soraya smiled proudly before her eyes turned turned cold, raised her hand and harshly slap Ivan. "Now, let go of me you imbecile".She shouted, glaring fiercely at him. Ivan looked at Soraya in disbelief at her audacity to slap to him. "Stay away from me",She warned, turned and walked away arrogantly.

Ivan looked at her departing back with a sharp gaze as he smiled grimly. Things just got interesting. Harry Zelkowicz, you wait.

A middle aged man angrily threw his phone harshly against the wall after hearing some bad news. His face was twisted with anger. A beautiful woman who was dressed glamorously quickly rushed to him and asked,"Husband, what happened?"

"That old witch's bullying is too much. Does she really think I'm a helpless sheep waiting for her slaughter as she wished. Well she can dream on"Jacob Zelkowicz seethed, his eyes filled with sinister intent.

"I wonder what she'll rely when she loses that backbone of hers. I can't to see if the almighty Old madame will be able withstand seeing the cold corpse of her beloved grandson".

Instead of dissuading her husband on his evil plans, the woman looked at him eagerly and asked, "Does husband have a plan?". Jacob looked at her lovingly, took her into his arms and nodded. "All these years, you have suffered. Letting you live without being able to raise your head high in society. Very soon, I'll make you the most honorable woman in this city".He promised.

The wife smiled happily and replied," I trust my husband's ability to make all our dreams come true".

At the Zelkowicz mansion, Old madame discusses with Harry about his grandfather's upcoming birthday party. Although, the patriarch was still sick in bed, but his birthday must still be as grand as the previous years. The Zelkowicz family is known for their extravagant annual parties. The biggest one has always been the patriarch's birthday.

There's a party held to celebrate and then a hunting trip is organized for the elite to partake in. The patriarch has a passion for hunting. This year will be the same as the previous years.
