1 The Billionaire's Hidden Wife

"Abigail!" a cold voice I heard beside me. We're inside the car because he attended the grand opening of a company owned by his friend. As I turned my head at him, I saw my husband immediately. He's name was Noah. I gave him a frugal smile as he just looked at me. I was about to approach him when he suddenly stopped me, "Stay here. I'll see you at home," he said coldly before leaving in front of me.

I was used to it. I had always been looking at him from afar because no one knew I was his wife. It was kinda painful but I got used to it. As long as I love him and be a good wife to him, it's enough for me to just be with him. I waved my hands as I watched him leave the car. He didn't even look at me again because he walked straight into the venue. Our driver immediately drove me back home. I got out of the car and went inside. A deep sigh came out of my mouth as I thought of Noah.

"I think I'm used to it, but... It's still painful," I uttered to myself, and tossed myself on the couch. I don't even remember what the reason was why Noah married me. I am never going enough for him, especially with his family.

Immediately, I thought of just looking live on TV. I saw Noah on the TV screen, and I smiled. I am so proud of him for all his achievements. "Honey... I'm so proud of you."

I waited a few more hours for him. I looked up and glanced at the clock pinned to the wall. It was 11 pm but Noah still couldn't go home. I started to get worried about him, so I was bothered and walked back and forth to the living room. "Where is he?" as I questioned myself, I heard the gate open and immediately went closer to the door to greet him.

I opened the door and saw Noah walking in a zigzag. I immediately headed in his direction, "Why are you drunk?" I asked him when I got closer.

He raised his head and scoffed when he saw me, "You ... Why are you still here?" he asked me, which caused me to be stunned and surprised at the same time.

I chuckled, "W-What do you mean?" I asked him and he stopped before speaking again.

"You ... I don't want to be with you," he uttered, as if I was deaf to what he said. That was unexpected. We've been married for four years now and I can't think of getting a divorce from him. I can't live without him. I really cherish and love him. Tears raced down my cheeks while I was still staring at him.

"Noah ... Take back what you said," I told him.

"No, I can't."

I could feel a tightening of my throat and a short intake of breath. I was still staring at him when suddenly...

"Abi! Abi!" I immediately woke up while panting. I blinked a couple of times and saw him beside me. He was looking at me with a frown.

"What happened to you? You're sweating," he said and immediately touched my face. I was really sweating.

"W-What h-happened?" I asked in confusion.

"What are you talking about?"

I looked around. "Thank God it was a dream," I said inside my head and then I leaned in closer and hugged him tightly.

"What are you doing?" he asked me.

"Don't leave me, Noah," I spoke emphatically to him and he seemed confused by what I said.

"What are you talking about?" he immediately pushed me away from him. Even though Noah treated me like that, I was still happy that it was just a dream. I really wanted to grow old with him. No matter what else happens, I will stay by his side. My eyes were still fixed on him when he said something, "Stop that, Abi. You're creeping me out," I nodded my head and smiled at him.

I prepared some breakfast for him but he didn't even taste it. He left without even saying goodbye to me. I smiled and waved my hands at him as he walked away, but he didn't even turn around to look at me. This isn't the marriage I've been dreaming of. This is very different from what I think of my married life with Noah.

"This isn't what I want," I spoke softly to myself and suddenly my eyes were wet with tears. I shook my head while wiping my tears away. "Get a grip on yourself, Abi. Noah's just busy nowadays," I kept saying that to myself even though my feelings inside told me the opposite thing. I have trust in Noah and I know he'll stay loyal to me.

The night came and I finished preparing our dinner. I was ready for his arrival but he still wasn't coming. I was about to clean up when suddenly the door opened and I saw him enter. I walked closer to him and greeted him, "Oh! You're home," I was smiling at him, but shrugged as he continued to walk.

"Let's eat-"

"I'm done eating," he answered.

"What?"

"You can eat that. I've already had dinner," he coldly uttered. I stopped where I stood while looking at him without emotion. My chest feels numb and my heart stops beating for a few seconds.

"Wait ..." he immediately stopped walking and looked at me.

"What?" those cold stares, it's killing me softly. He couldn't even look at me any other way. He looked even colder at me, "What is it?" he asked with a slight anger in the tone of his speech.

I laughed nervously, "Nothing. I'm sorry."

He then started to walk again toward our bedroom. My lips started to pout and I started chewing on my lower lip and my eyes welled up with tears. Is this... marriage? I... keep thinking about how I ended up, no, how our marriage ended up like this. I think... this is... not marriage.

It was already eight in the morning, but I was still in bed, covering myself with my blanket.

"Abi?" his voice was calm, and it was different from yesterday.

"Hmm?"

"I'm sorry," as those words came out of his mouth, I then took the blanket that covered me and looked at him.

"What do you say?" I asked him.

He plastered on a tight smile and placed his right hand on my head, "I'm sorry. I was a bit rude last night. I'm sorry," the corner of my lips slid upwards at what he said.

"Let's go."

"W-Where?"

"I'll prepare some breakfast," my eyes immediately lit up at what he said.

"R-Really?" he nodded, and we both went downstairs. I had another chance to continue the relationship we had.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" his voice was soft, but I shook my head and then looked at my food. I began to eat, and his cooking was great. The taste was delicious. It's only in the house that I can really observe him so closely. We never date out and we celebrate anniversaries and birthdays are just here, or he would rent a whole place for just the two of us.

"Stop staring at me and continue your food," he said, and I continued to eat my food. I want him to be like this every day. I am scared that tomorrow, he will be the beast and cold person again.

After he left, I was all alone in the house again. I was so bored inside, I decided to go out and go to the mall. I wanted to spend some money on groceries. I was walking while pushing a cart when someone bumped into me.

"I'm sorry," the man uttered while bowing his head.

"It's okay."

He then raised his head and saw me. "Are you okay?" I asked him, but he was too stunned to speak. I looked behind me, but there was no one around.

"Mister? Are you okay?" I asked him again.

"Ah... Yes. I am fine," he answered, and then started to walk away.

After buying all the groceries, I went out and walked towards the car. I struggled while carrying the shopping bags in my hand. I was about to open the door of the car but a shopping bag fell. I sighed in disbelief, but when I looked around, I saw Noah.

He was also staring at me now. I smiled at him and hoped he would help, but no, he turned his back on me and left me in that situation. I frowned and my eyes narrowed while watching him leave.

"What was that? He was supposed to help me."

A deep sigh came out of my mouth, "I get it. This happened too and this is the third time. Yes, that's right. I am Abigail Brown, the hidden wife of Noah Brown."
