Nicholas was surprised and impressed when he heard Leonardo say he would work hard on his legs with his therapist so he would be able to propose to Amani on his knees. He marveled at the length Leonardo would go just to propose to his girlfriend in the traditional way

"Do you need me to do anything for you? Just say the words and it will be done. Or would you rather I tell Becca? I think she would be in a better position to help you with your plans since she is Amani's best friend. What do you think?"

"Oh yes, yes, by all means, please tell her... Maybe she could give me some pointers about what Amani would prefer. I want the whole family to be there when I propose. I want us to have a small engagement party afterward, do you understand? That's what I want. I don't know if she would want something different. Or what do you think man?"
