Give Me Your Shoe

Feng Mian cut him off before he could finish, "Oh please, save your breathe. Admitting your faults doesn't mean anything. It won't fix what you've done to her".

"She looks perfectly fine", Feng Yu rebutted and knew instantly it was the wrong thing to say. Because right now Ying Yue looked like a mess.

"Fine? She looks fine?" Feng Mian saw red, raising her fist "If she came crying to you would you still call her fine?"

"Mian, I'm fine" Ying Yue grabbed Feng Mian's arm that was about to punch Feng Yu. Ying Yue was the type of girl that could have tears streaming down her face and still insist she was fine. But Feng Mian knew that deep inside she was slowly breaking apart.

"See? She's fine" Feng Yu said almost righteously.

"Oh, that's it. He's asking for it. Ying, give me your shoe" Feng Mian snarled out in anger.

"What? My shoes? I'm not wearing heels though," Ying Yue was surprised.

"It doesn't matter, just take them off and give them to me"

"If you're going to throw them at him, then no"

Feng Mian turned to her friend stunned, "Ying, this man hurt you. He keeps breaking you, yet you defend him. Why do you do that? Why do you defend him as if he was the man who put the stars in the sky when he did nothing but break you so god damn much that the cracks in your heart are practically visible through your eyes".

Ying Yue laughed cheerlessly, "that's the things about love, isn't it? You'll let them get away with murder, even if it's your own".

Feng Mian stared wide-eyed at her friend before whirling around to face Feng Yu. Seeing the slight victorious smirk on his face, she knew he had heard what Ying Yue said.

"Ying Yue!" whirling back to face her friend, Feng Mian grabbed Ying Yue's shoulders, about to talk some sense into her. But Ying Yue grabbed the back of her head and pulled her in close, their breaths mingling together as if the next moment they would tightly embrace.

"Mian, I'm kidding...kinda...", Ying Yue whispered. She knew that deep inside that the man that hurt her the most was also the man she loved the most.

Feng Mian raised an eyebrow as she watched Ying Yue turn her head around to see if anyone was listening. "Mian, if you hit him with my shoe ... I don't have to pay for his medical bills, right?"

A brief moment of silence.

"That's what you're worried about?" Feng Mian asked loudly, pulling back to look at Ying Yue incredulously.

"What? There are laws in this -"

"I swear if you don't hand over your shoes right now," Feng Mian raised a finger to point to Ying Yue's shoes, "the person I'm going to hit is you, and I won't be paying your bills".

"Oh," Ying Yue gulped and quickly took off her shoes and handed them over, "Do you want my socks too?" Feng Mian just glared at her before taking the shoes and turning back to face Feng Yu.
